The Syrian desert in Deir Ezzor and Homs are witnessing the continuation of military operations between the regime forces and their allies against ISIS and more casualties raise the death toll to more than 30 of both parties

The clashes continue with varying frequency of violence in the areas between Tallat al-Saroukh south of al-Shula in Deir Ezzor Desert and the Syrian-Iraqi border northwest of al-Tanf base, within the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor; between the “Islamic State” Organization against the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, as the latter continues to sweep and secure the area in order to end the presence of the Organization, where the clashes are accompanied by missile and artillery targeting, which caused more human losses, where it rose to 17 at least, the number of members who were killed during the last 24 hours during the shelling and clashes, also it rose to 14, the number of regime forces’ members who were killed in the same clashes, and the Syrian Observatory published on Wednesday morning that the clashes continue violently between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, in areas extending from Tallat al-Sarukh south of al-Shula in Deir Ezzor Desert until the Syrian – Iraqi border northwest of al-Tanf base within the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the continuation of shelling, targeting, and clashes, which left more casualties in the ranks of both parties, where it rose to 9 at least, the number of ISIS members who were killed in the past 24 hours during the shelling and clashes, while 2 of the gunmen loyal to the regime forces were killed in the same battles, and the Syrian Observatory published this morning that clashes continue at a violent pace in areas in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, between the “Islamic State” organization  against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the clashes in the area are concentrated in the area between Tallat al-Saroukh south of al-Shola in Deir Ezzor Desert and the Syrian – Iraqi border northwest of al-Tanf base, in a continuation of sweeping operations by the regime forces and their allies to end the presence of the ISIS members, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during the past 24 hours the regime forces achieving new advancement, after which they have been able to capture more than 6 members of the Organization and confiscated weapons, and the clashes resulted in more casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties, where the Syrian Observatory documented the killing of at least 4 members of the “Islamic State” Organization, and the Syrian Observatory published on Sunday evening the 16th of September 2018, that the clashes continue at a violent pace between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces supported by their loyal gunmen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas in the desert of Deir Ezzor and Homs, starting from Tallat al-Saroukh south of al-Shula to the Syrian – Iraqi border in the northwest of al-Tanaf base, where the regime forces and their allies continue their military operations in the area, which aim to sweep it and end the presence of ISIS members, and the Syrian Observatory monitored new advancement by the regime forces and their allies in the past 24 hours by controlling new areas and sites, and confirmed information about more casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties, and the Syrian Observatory published on the evening of the 12th of September 2018, that the Syrian Desert from the west of Euphrates to the Syrian – Iraqi border is still witnessing continuation of the regime’s military operations in the area, where ongoing fighting is taking place between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory monitored that the fighting is concentrated in areas in the deserts of Deir Ezzor and Homs, from Tallat al-Saroukh south of al-Shola; to the Syrian – Iraqi border northwest of al-Tanf base, while the continuation of the regime’s operations comes within the framework of the military operation which is started with its allies on Monday, the 10th of September 2018, and the main goal of the operation is to sweep the aforementioned areas, searching for cells of ISIS members and end their presence in the area, also the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces being able to advance, control, and sweep large places in the area.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fall of more human losses, raising to at least 10, the number of casualties of the regime forces and their allies, while it rose to 8, the number of members of the organization, in an attempt by the regime forces to sweep the areas over which they imposed their control previously, and to clamp down on the organization which became in control of scattered areas inside Syria, after it controlled more than the half of Syria’s area years ago, the Syrian Observatory also monitored at dawn of the 2nd of September 2018, that clashes that took place between gunmen loyal to the regime against unidentified gunmen in areas in Palmyra Desert, at a distance of tens of kilometers from Palmyra city, in the eastern countryside of Homs, while the Syrian Observatory published weeks ago, that the regime forces are continuing with their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, to bring military reinforcements to the Syrian Desert, where the regime forces brought again tens of military vehicles carrying equipment, weapons and ammunition as well as hundreds of members of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the bringing of these reinforcements comes in an attempt by the regime forces to fortify their positions and strengthen their presence in the Syrian Desert, for fear of a mass offensive that may be carried out by the “Islamic State” organization against them in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to expand its control over the enclaves that are under its control, and to revive its areas of control on the Syrian territory, in the wake of the attacks which are carried out either by the regime forces and their allies, or by the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition through its American, Italian, French and European forces, where the organization which is located in the triangle of Al-Sukhnah – Jabal Abu Rajeem – Al-Tibah in the west of Palmyra – Al-Sukhnah – Deir Ezzor Road, is seeking to expand its control even more amid successive preparations carried out by the organization to expand the scope of its attacks.
