3 years of Russian killing claim the lives of about 18100 persons, including about 8000 Syrian civilians including 3135 children and women
3 consecutive years, 36 months, about 157 weeks, and hundreds of days, during which the Syrians have lived the Russian lethality, murder, destruction, and devastation, daily violations by shells of death stuffed with Russia’s desire to shed blood until it achieves its media goal in emerge as the party coming to establish values of peace and coexistence, where the stained-with-blood of the Syrian people Russian dove of peace lands declaring to the world that Russia –which has killed thousands of Syrian civilians, displaced millions of them, and deserted tens of thousands without coming back, has established the stability of a country that has seen nothing in more than 7 years except war, death, murder, displacement, destruction, and clashes that have left nothing behind and squished bodies of Syrian civilians, these 3 years of Russian participation in the war on the Syrian territory have left casualties documented by the Syrian Observatory.
All of this went hand in hand with Russia’s support by its ground military forces for the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in their advancement at the expense of the rebel and Islamic factions, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra), and the “Islamic State” organization, where with the Russian participation on the 30th of September 2015, the regime forces used to control an area of 48101 square kilometers which is 26% of the area of the Syrian territory, while the control of the rebel and Islamic factions used to be 96602 square kilometers which is 11.7% of the area of the Syrian geography, also the control of the “Islamic State” organization used to be 96602 square kilometers which is 52.2% of the area of the Syrian territory, but the Russian intervention did not succeed in expanding the control of the regime and their allies until the beginning of 2017, after the level of control of the regime decreased to 31419 which is 17% in early 2017, the lowest rate reached by the regime forces over the past 7 years.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the developments of control of the former parties, until the rate of control of the regime forces reached on the 30th of September 2018, 111044 square kilometers which is 60% of the area of Syrian territory, while the factions’ control reached 167175 square kilometers which is 8.7%, while the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas shrunk to 4993 square kilometers which is 2.7% of the area of the Syrian geography, and this process of progress for the regime forces –which reached more than twice the area that used to be remained for it on the Syrian territory– was followed by killings of civilians and fighters, where Russia’s direct interfering and killing have caused thousands of casualties and wounded in 36 months of its participation in the direct military operations on the Syrian territory, since the start of its strikes on the 30th of September 2015, until the 30th of September 2018, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was able to document the death of 1936 child under the age of eighteen, 1199 citizen women over the age of eighteen, 4853 man and young man, 5233 members of the “Islamic state” organization, and 4875 fighters of the rebel and Islamic Factions, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, the Islamic Turkestani Party, and fighters of Arab and foreign nationalities.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death toll in each of the 3 years which were completed today, Sunday, the 30th of September 2018:
The 1st year since the 30th of September 2015 until the 30th of September 2016:
– 906 children under the age of eighteen, 561 citizen women over the age of eighteen and 2337 men and young men.
– 2746 members of the “Islamic state” organization.
– 2814 fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions, Fath al-Sham Front, the Islamic Turkestan Party, and fighters of Arab and foreign nationalities.
The 2nd year since the 30th of September 2016 until the 30th of September 2017:
– 493 children under the age of eighteen, 264 citizen women over the age of eighteen and 1142 men and young men.
– 1512 members of the “Islamic state” organization.
– 1079 fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions, Fath al-Sham Front, the Islamic Turkestan Party, and fighters of Arab and foreign nationalities.
The 3rd year since the 30th of September 2017 until the 30th of September 2018:
– 537 children under the age of eighteen, 374 citizen women over the age of eighteen and 1374 men and young men.
– 975 members of the “Islamic state” organization.
– 982 fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions, Fath al-Sham Front, the Islamic Turkestan Party, and fighters of Arab and foreign nationalities.
It is worth mentioning that Russia recently used the “Thermite” substance in their airstrikes, which is composed of aluminum powder and iron oxide, and causes burns because it continues to ignite for about 180 seconds, and it is inside the bombs used by Russian warplanes in recent weeks of bombing the Syrian territory, it is a cluster incendiary bombs, its type is “RBK-500 ZAB 2.5 SM” which weighs about 500 kg (about 1100 pounds) dropped by the military aircrafts, and carry small sized bombs anti-individuals and anti-vehicles of the type ((AO 2.5 RTM)), between 50 -110 small sized bombs stuffed with “Thermite”, which outpour out of it when they explode, the range of this anti-individuals and anti-vehicles bombs is between 20-30 meters.
We in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, although the Russian side is continuing to declare allegations and lies which assert that its warplanes and rocket strikes did never kill citizens, still see that the Russian Federation – the permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), is still continuing to kill Syrian citizens, amid the continuation of the International Community’s silence and ignorance about these massacres and crimes committed against the Syrian people, by Russia, which it carries out under the pretext of fighting “terrorism”, while the International Community did nothing except media condemnations through it and through its United Nations special envoy to Syria about the ongoing crimes committed against the Syrian people, and we, through publishing the documented statistics of human losses, which the civilian Syrians are their main victims due to the military operations in Syria, seeking to send a message to the international community, carried through the cries and pain of the Syrian people, perhaps these shocking statistics, cries and pain may move the conscience of this community to act for the immediate sopping of the ongoing murders against the Syrian citizens, and we renew our strong condemnation against killing citizens in Syrian, and call on the UNSC and the UN to work harder to stop the daily killing against the Syrian citizens who seek to reach a state of liberty, democracy, justice and equality, and to bring the criminals to the specialized international courts, so they get their punishment.
