The province of Daraa in the Syrian South is witnessing new arrests by the regime’s Intelligence which targeted more citizens despite the “reconciliations”

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces are continuing to carry out arrests targeting more citizens in Daraa province, over which the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them imposed their control through military operations and “reconciliations and settlements”, and the SOHR learned that the past few hours witnessed the arrest of 5 citizens including a doctor and a male nurse in the northern countryside of Daraa province, where the regime forces took them to their security branches in order to question them, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 28th of September 2018, that the security services of the regime forces have arrested a former fighter of the factions who chose “reconciliation and settlements” in al-Hara town in the northwestern countryside of Daraa, but no information about the reasons of the arrest. This comes as a continuation of arrests in Syrian southern by the regime forces, where the Syrian Observatory published on Wednesday night, that it monitored arrests against citizens in the countryside of Daraa last night, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory monitored that the regime forces have arrested 3 citizens in Izra’a village, and 5 others in Al-Hara town, in the countryside of Daraa province, and took them to their security branches in order to question them, although the citizens have their situations settled previously with the regime, the Syrian Observatory also published hours earlier, that it monitored that the regime forces have released about 100 detainees from Al-Lajat area which is located on the administrative border of Daraa countryside with the countryside of Al-Suwaidaa province, of those who are still held in the regime’s detention centers, after a campaign of arrests targeted them in the wake of the attack witnessed in Al-Suwaidaa province on the 25th of July 2018, and which claimed the lives of at least 258 persons of citizens and gunmen villagers and injured hundreds others with varying severity, and in the wake of the attacks which were witnessed in the area of Khalkhala Military Airbase, and the sources confirmed that this release came at a Russian request to the regime authorities.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 24th of September 2018 that the Syrian Observatory monitored regime’s security services arresting a former leader of the 46 Division who carried out “reconciliation and settlement” within Daraa Province, where he was arrested for reasons -that still unknown- from his home in Qita area in Daraa countryside, at a time where the Russian police issued “no interference” cards to faction leaders and members in the northern countryside of Homs, where the Syrian Observatory published on the 20th of September 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from intersected sources that the Russian police forces -who are deployed in the northern countryside of al-Homs- have issued security cards to former leaders of Jaysh al-Tawhid Faction, which carried out “settlements and reconciliations”, where they were distributed security cards written in Arabic and Russian on about 50 former leaders and members of Jaysh al-Tawhid, where the photograph and name of each person were placed on the card on which written that it is forbidden to stop the cardholder or inspect his car and who violates that will be held accountable, also the card contains in its top the words “police forces of the Russian reconciliation center in the conflict areas the northern countryside of Homs”, and the issuance of these cards came to prevent the regime forces and their security branches from arresting fighters and former leaders. And in the same context, the regime forces continue arresting and raiding in areas of the “settlement and reconciliation” in the northern countryside of Homs, where they continue to pursuit former fighters of al-Tawhid Brigade who have carried out settlement and reconciliation, where the regime forces and its security branches arrested the commander of a Ma’rouq Battalion known as “Abu Hayyah” on the charge of “murdering one of the Alawite persons earlier,” it worth mentioning that Abu Hayyah is one of first of those who carried out “reconciliation and settlement” along with several members of his battalion, which was a part of al-Tawhid Brigade or Jaysh al-Tawhid in al-Houla and Talbiseh areas, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has also published that areas which have witnessed “reconciliation and settlements” with the regime forces in the Eastern Ghouta, Eastern Qalamoun, Daraa, and others, are still witnessing the continuation of the security operations of raids and arrests by regime’s security forces on various pretexts despite the “settlements” in these areas, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights continues to monitor these operations, which take place almost daily in the shadow of a media blackout of it and of the suffering of the remaining residents in the “reconciliation” areas mentioned above, where Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta is witnessing an alert situation by the regime forces and its security branches where the 6 months are almost expired, which is the period of time provided by the Russians as a guarantee to those who decided to stay and to make “reconciliation and settlements” to join the compulsory service for the new recruits, those how passed their conscripting date, and those who defected from the regime forces, where Douma is witnessing an alert of the Syrian regime’s military police and state security branch, looking for wanted people in conjunction with carrying out raid operations since yesterday, Thursday, also the Syrian Observatory learned that the security branches have established lists in names of people wanted for the mandatory service to join the security points in the Eastern Ghouta in a maximum of 7 days, while the regime forces arrested more than 20 persons of al-Dumayr, who are former fighters of the factions who carried out “settlements” in the area, and they were taken to an unknown destination.
