Fighting continues between ISIS against SDF at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River amid shelling and exchange of targeting within the ongoing operation in the area
Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continued fighting between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in ISIS last enclave at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory monitored hit-and-run clashes and battles accompanied by exchange of targeting by shells, gunfire and detonations, on the contact lines between the both parties, amid information about more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where information was received reporting that the organization managed to snatch posts in Hajin from the SDF after a surprising and violent attack on the area, and the Syrian Observatory published on Wednesday, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information that the Syria Democratic Forces have brought more special forces operating in Shaddadi area, to the frontlines with the “Islamic State” organization in the vicinity of its last enclave at the east bank of Euphrates River, to participate in the military operations in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the continuation of clashes at a varying rate of violence between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition; against members of the “Islamic State” organization of different nationalities, accompanied by exchange of targeting, where the Syria Democratic Forces are trying to achieve more advancement in the area and control more sites to clamp down on the organization, which no longer exists as a dominant power in the eastern Euphrates except in the towns of al-Susah and al-Shafa, in addition to parts of Hajin and outskirts of al-Baghuz.
The Syrian Observatory also published hours ago, that the abduction of tens of families in the east of the Euphrates River, has completed today, Thursday the 18th of October 2018, its first week since the operation was carried out on the 12th of October 2018, where the “Islamic State” organization is still holding 130 families including 90 women at least, in ISIS last enclave at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, after they kidnapped them from Al-Bahra Camp, and took them to the enclave it controls which is the last area left under its control in the east of the Euphrates River, whose eastern banks have been witnessing ongoing clashes since the 10th of October 2018, while reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the organization has classified the abductees of the 130 families where it separated the women away from the children and men, along with subjecting all of them to questioning and investigation, amid fears over their lives of carrying out mass or individual executions against them by the organization after it executed thousands of people in the past years.
