The Putin – Erdogan demilitarized zone witnesses the most violent fighting since the buffer area agreement between the “jihadist groups” that refuse to leave the area against Islamic and rebel factions
Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the return of violent fighting in an escalated manner, between the “jihadist” factions and the Islamic ones within the demilitarized zone in the vicinity of Aleppo city, from its north to its west, and in the details documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; violent clashes are taking place between the National Liberation Front against the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, in areas in the vicinity of Jabal Andan, in the northern sector of Hama countryside, along with fighting in the west of Aleppo city, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored targeting by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham to Taqad town in the western countryside of Aleppo, in conjunction with clashes in its vicinity as well as the vicinity of Darat Izza, between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement operating under the banner of the National Liberation Front, amid targeting by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham to Darat Izza town, the SOHR also monitored that the factions managed to advance and take the control of Jabal Andan, amid ongoing clashes in the area, as a part of attempts by Tahrir Al-Sham to return to advance and regain the control of Jabal Andan once again, also clashes are taking place in Kafr Hmara town in the north-west of Aleppo city, in an attack by the National Liberation Front within the attempts to end the presence of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in the town that is directly adjacent to Aleppo city, and the clashes are accompanied by exchange of targeting between the both parties, amid information about the fall of human losses in the ranks of the both parties.
The Syrian Observatory published today morning, Tuesday, that the Western, northern, and northwestern countryside of Aleppo are witnessing the continuation of tensions and alert between the National Liberation Front and between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in conjunction with the continued violent clashes between both parties in the demilitarized area and its outskirts, where the Syrian Observatory monitored an escalation in the intensity of clashes after midnight of yesterday before it stops for hours then to be renewed this morning at an escalating and violent pace, between members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham against members of Ahrar al Sham and Nour al-Dien al-Zenki in Kafr Hamra area northwest of Aleppo, accompanied by the exchange of targeting using heavy machine guns and confirmed information about more human casualties in the ranks of both parties, where Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was able to advance more in Kafr Hamra which is under the control of both parties, but so far the negotiations and efforts made to calm the situation and to stop the fighting have failed, at the same time; both parties continue to fortify their positions and bring in reinforcements in each of the northern and western countryside of Aleppo, where members of al- Zenki closed the military supply road of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham from the western countryside of Aleppo to its north and northwest, and the Syrian Observatory’s sources reported that the fighting which began just before sundown of yesterday, Monday, after a dispute on establishing a headquarters in Kafr Hamra area, it also comes after a disagreement over controlling the strategic road of Aleppo – Gaziantep, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday evening, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a continued state of tension between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the National Liberation Front in both northern and north-western countryside of Aleppo, after the fighting that took place in Kafr Hamra area in the north-western countryside of Aleppo, between members of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic movement and Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement on one hand, against the members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham on the other, which resulted in the fall of human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 3 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham including 2 commanders who were killed during the fighting, also 4 members at least of Ahrar Al-Sham and Al-Zenki were killed, the fighting which came as a result of the disagreement between the both parties on establishing a headquarters in Kafr Hamra area also resulted in the injury of 10 members in the ranks of the both parties with varying severity, which may increase the death toll, also, endeavors are continuing to calm the situation down and reach a solution for these disagreements, where all the controlled areas of the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham in the Syrian North, are witnessing renewed fighting and tensions between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the factions of the National Liberation Front, while the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that it monitored a new state of tension between the factions of the National Liberation Front and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, where tension is prevailing both northern and north-western countryside of Aleppo, as a result of the disagreement between the both parties on establishing a headquarters in Kafr Hamra area, which developed to the eruption of fighting between a group of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against a group of the National Liberation Front, which resulted in the fall of human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where 2 commanders of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham were killed and other members in the ranks of the both parties were injured, and the killed commanders are: the “Sharia man of Andan sector” and the “person who is in charge of the checkpoints in Kafr Hamra”, amid locals’ fears of imminent violent fighting along with mobilizations and reinforcements that are being brought by each party to its positions and posts.
And the Syrian Observatory published on the 23rd of October 2018, that the violent fighting is still continuing at a checkpoint at the junction of the roads to Tell Mannas, Karaki, Jarjnaz and Al-Ghadfa, in the eastern sector of Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside, between Suqour Al-Sham against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, accompanied by sporadic exchange of targeting every now and then, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the fall of more human losses as a result of this fighting that lasted for hours and renewed recently, where it rose to 4 at least, the number of those who were killed as a result of the clashes and the random bullets against the backdrop of the fighting, and they are: 2 citizens, a fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and another fighter of Suqour Al-Sham, amid information about the fall of more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, while the mediators’ efforts are continuing in order to ceasefire between the both parties, where this is the most violent attack of kind since the start of Russian – Turkish agreement reached after meeting between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Receb Tayyip Erdogan in the middle of September 2018, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that the violent fighting between Suqour Al-Sham against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, is still continuing at a checkpoint at the junction of the roads to Tell Mannas, Karaki, Jarjnaz and Al-Ghadfa, in the eastern sector of Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside, within the southern sector of Idlib countryside, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the clashes resulted in the fall of human loses, where 2 persons were killed and 7 others including fighters were injured with varying severity, the reliable sources also confirmed that Al-Sham Corps which is close to the Turkish authorities has engaged in the fighting in the side of Suqour Al-Sham, while the alertness is still continuing in the area, amid exchange of targeting in the both parties, while mediators are still continuing to reach a consensus between the both parties.
