ISIS REVIVAL: Sick terrorists kill at least 40 US-backed forces in FEROCIOUS attack

Whilst President Trump recently claimed that the savage terror group had been ‘decimated’ in Syria, the recent attack proves that several enclaves in the deserts of the east not only live on but are expanding.

Islamic State (ISIS) militants made the advances in the eastern province of Deir ez-Zour, close to the border with Iraq, and launched the murderous offensive during a sandstorm.

At least 40 of the US-backed Syrian Democratic forces (SDF) were killed and several reportedly taken hostage, as ISIS also made territorial gains.

“ISIS has always come number two.”

He continued: “It’s a difficult problem – It’s also a divided Syria because you have a border region where Iraq’s on one side, the Syrian Democratic forces are on the other backed by the United States, and the Syrian army backed by Russia, and Iran on the other.”

The attack comes just months after a horrific massacre by IS in the southwestern Syrian city of Sweida.

The predominantly Druze area had seen comparatively little conflict in the civil war until IS slaughtered over 200 of its people in July through a series of suicide bomb attacks and raids.
