The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

In conjunction with a security operation in central Damascus, regime’s intelligence arrests 26 citizens men and women from the Eastern Ghouta

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the security services of the Syrian regime continue to carry out raids and arrests against the Syrian citizens, in the areas which were forced to submit to its control in Damascus and Rif Dimashq, violating the human rights of its inhabitants whose circumstances failed them to get out of it and decided to remain in areas of the “reconciliation and settlements”, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored regime’s intelligence carrying out arrests operation during the past 24 hours, in the areas, towns, and cities of Saqba, Zamalka, Arbin, Douma, Mesraba, and Ein Tarma, where the operations affected 26 citizens including a woman from Mesraba town, and took them to regime’s security branches, where these raids coincide with a security operation initiated by regime’s intelligence and still underway since about 24 hours in the capital Damascus and its outskirts, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the spreading included the area around Jesr al-Ra’eis and al-Baramkeh in the center of the capital, where tens of members were seen scattered in the area along with explosives detectors and logistic equipment, and tens of citizens and vehicles were inspected, and the intersected sources in the area believed that this operation took place after an information received by the regime about the presence of at least one vehicle prepared for detonation and the presence of people wearing explosive belts planning to carry out bombings in downtown Damascus and in Jesr al-Ra’eis area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 31st of October 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the release of tens of citizens of the residents of the capital and its countryside in the past two days, of who were held at the center of the military police in al-Qaboun neighborhood at the eastern outskirts of the capital, of who the regime forces arrested earlier this month, October, in order to take them for the reserve service, after a governmental decision to exempt tens of thousands of citizens who are wanted for the reserve service, where intersected sources confirmed that their release came in conjunction with the decision of the exemption of the reserve service, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 29th of October 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored new raids and arrests by the security services of the Syrian regime within the areas of “conciliations and settlements” in Damascus, its countryside and the Syrian South, where the Syrian Observatory learned that the Syrian regime’s Intelligence arrested today, Monday the 29th of October 2018, a whole family from their house in Rukn Al-Din neighborhood in the capital Damascus, where 3 men and 2 women were arrested after this family arrived days ago from the Syrian North after they have left to it according to the agreement that was reached in Barzeh in Damascus in May 2017, between the regime forces and the factions which used to be located in the area at that time and which led to the exit of those who rejected the agreement to the Syrian North, and in the Syrian South and in Daraa province in particular, the Syrian Observatory monitored arrests by the regime’s security services in Al-Sheikh Meskeen, Al-Sanamayn and al-Jiza in Daraa countryside, where they arrested more than 15 persons in Al-Sanamayn, about 10 persons in Al-Sheikh Meskeen, and 2 persons in al-Jiza town, on varying charges such as ” defaulting the compulsory military service in the army of the Syrian regime and being sleeper cells of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the Islamic State organization”, and the arrests come as a part of new violations to the agreements that were reached previously within the areas of the “conciliations and settlements”.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published on the 4th of October 2018 that regime forces’ security led by the military security intelligence, carried out a security operation in Qudsaya area on the outskirts of the capital Damascus, where raid and search operations took place during the last four days in the citizens’ houses all over Qudsaya area, where checkpoints was established at the entrances of the area, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the security forces were carrying lists of about 100 names of young men wanted for conscription, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the security forces arrested 18 youths and took them to the conscription service, also the Observatory’s local sources confirmed that the regime forces tightened the security measures at the entrances of Qudsaya areas, and requested official papers concerning the postponement of conscription service for students travelling on the checkpoints.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that this operation is the largest in Qudsaya area since the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them managed to control it, after the displacement of its fighters and civilians who rejected the agreement between representatives of the area and regime’s authorities, and were transported aboard tens of buses from Qudsaya and al-Hamah areas to Idlib Province and the Syrian north in October 2016, and these recruitments come along with preparations under way in the ranks of the pro-regime gunmen supported by Russia to demobilize thousands of members, and in the details obtained the Syrian observatory: preparations are underway for the demobilization of some 8000 members of the Russia supported-and-armed Tiger Forces, under the supervision and command of the brigadier general of the regime forces Suhail Al Hassan, the most prominent Syrian military regime leader, who had full Russian support in his military operations during the past months and years, and which caused the recovery of tens of thousands of square kilometers from the provinces of Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Homs, hama, Daraa, Quneitra, Deir Ezzor, and al-Raqqah, which raised regime’s control to more than 61% of the geographical area of Syria, and the Tiger Forces have participated in violent clashes against the rebel and Islamic factions, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and the “Islamic State” organization in several areas of Syria.
