The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

After they announced the suspension of their military operations…the Special Forces within the SDF attacks the organization east of the Euphrates and kill with the Coalition’s warplanes more than 25 members of them

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the Special Forces within the Syria Democratic Forces managed to recover all the posts they lost yesterday Sunday for the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the Special Forces (the Kurdish People’s Protection Units “YPG”) and in their first attack on the organization since the SDF brought them on the 28th of October 2018, managed to regain the control of all the positions into which the organization advanced in its attacks yesterday Sunday in Al-Bahra area which is located near Hajin in the enclave that the organization controls, with the support of the International Coalition’s warplanes which participated in the operation of recovering these positions through their heavy targeting to the clash areas and ISIS controlled areas east of the Euphrates River, in addition to the SDF’s rocket shelling, while this is the first attack by the Syria Democratic Forces after they announced the suspension of their military operations as a denunciation against the Turkish shelling and the expected attack by the Turkish forces on the border strip extended between the east of the Euphrates to the west of the Tigris River.

The Syrian Observatory documented the fall of a large number of human losses in the clashes which were accompanied by aerial and rocket shelling during the operation of recovering the positions, where at least 26 members of the “Islamic State” organization were killed, they are 17 members who were killed in the shelling and clashes during the recovery of positions by the Special Forces, which they lost yesterday, where the SDF still have the bodies of ISIS casualties, while the other 9 members were killed in the airstrikes by the International Coalition’s warplanes which targeted a headquarters of the organization within the enclave it controls in the east of the Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory learned that airstrikes of the International Coalition’s warplanes which targeted the headquarters, resulted in the killing of citizens working in the headquarters, thus, it rose to 549 fighters and commanders of the “Islamic State” Organization, who were killed in the clashes and the strikes of the International Coalition and SDF and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday Sunday, that it rose to 327 at least, one of them was a field commander of Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syria Democratic Forces, the members of the SDF who were killed in clash against ISIS, since the start of the military operations on the 10th of September 2018, and the death toll is expected to increase as there is information about other human losses and the presence of injured cases in serious conditions.

And the Syrian Observatory also published yesterday, that it monitored the continuation of clashes at a violent pace between the Syria Democratic Forces against members of the “Islamic State” Organization, in areas at the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the clashes are concentrated in places at al-Bahra area which was attacked by the Organization, amid continued targeting of the area by warplanes of the International Coalition, and the continuation of targeting by SDF for the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas and positions, as each party tries to advance at the account of the other party, also the Syrian Observatory monitored the continuation of preparations for the military operation, of which the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition intent to begin in the coming days, to end the presence of the “Islamic State” Organization east of Euphrates, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented hours ago, that the violent clashes caused the killing of at least 12 fighters of Syria Democratic Forces, and injured more than 20 others with varying severity, in addition to killing and injuring several members of the “Islamic State” Organization in the clashes; which are still taking place violently until now, in an attempt by the Organization to achieve more advancement and hold its control of the area, while the Syria Democratic Forces are trying to regain control of the area, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published hours ago, that the “Islamic State” Organization began at 11 p.m. on Sunday, the 4th of October 2018, a violent attack on the Syria Democratic Forces in al-Bahra area near Hajin in the vicinity of the “Islamic State”-controlled enclave, taking advantage of the bad weather, heavy rains, and fog in the area, to carry out an attack that resulted in its advancement on the outskirts al-Bahra area and the retreat of the first lines of defensive of the Syria Democratic Forces, because the Syria Democratic Forces were not prepared for this kind of attack which suddenly occurred and continues until now, the sources also confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the Organization in its attack crossed the hill separating between areas of control of the Organization in Hajin; and between areas of control of the Syria Democratic Forces in al-Bahra, and the Organization attack began by detonating booby-trapped vehicles as well as detonating ISIS members for themselves suing explosive belts, in addition to the use of armored vehicles in the attack, and the clashes between SDF and the Organization are accompanied by intensive shelling by the International Coalition warplanes on the sites where ISIS advanced, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the entry of 10 American Hummer vehicles and 2 artilleries to al-Bahra area, to participate in the process of repelling the attack of the Organization in the area, while the Coalition’s warplanes did not succeed in targeting ISIS sites accurately due to the intensity of fog, while ISIS relies on light, medium machineguns, and the shoulder-mounted missile launchers.
