A new explosion targets the headquarters of one of the factions of the “Olive Branch” in Afrin leaving material losses

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: an explosion rocked Afrin city which is controlled by the factions of the “Olive Branch” in the north-western countryside of Aleppo, on the evening of today, Thursday the 8th of November 2018, it turned out that it was caused by an IED explosion in one of the headquarters of Sultan Murad Division inside Afrin city, without information about resulting in the fall of human losses, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that a violent explosion shook Jandairis town in the southwestern countryside of Afrin, caused by a motorcycle explosion targeting a headquarters of al-Sham Corps in the town, killing and injuring at least 10 people, the reliable sources confirmed that at least 3 of were killed, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, as a result of the bombing that was carried out by a booby-trapped motorcycle parked close to the headquarters of the corps, which is close to the Turkish authorities, and the bombing came hours after clashes in Afrin countryside, where the Syrian Observatory published today that clashes took place between groups of al-Sham Corps close to the Turkish authorities, in the countryside of Afrin area in the northwestern sector of Aleppo province, and the sources said that the clashes are believed to have been caused by a dispute over property that had been looted, plundered, and seized by residents of the area, and the sources confirmed that more than 17 fighters were killed and wounded in the fighting, including at least 4 who were confirmed dead.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 6th of November 2018 that  it monitored new clashes in Afrin city, which is controlled by the Turkish-backed “Olive Branch” factions, and this fight took place near Kawa al-Haddad roundabout Afrin city but its reasons were not known until the moment, and it took place between a group called Suhada’a al-Raqqah of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah, against a group of Jaysh al-Islam faction which restricted itself recently with the help Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah, before the military police in the city intervened to stop the clashes and gunfire, while tension and alert still prevail both parties in the city, also the clashes caused casualties in the ranks of both parties, where at least one fighter of Ahrar la-Sharqiyyah was confirmed dead, and a civilian was injured by the random bullets as a result of the fighting, and in the same day the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes between a groups of al-Sultan Murad are from the countryside of Aleppo, and another group its fighters are from Homs, where the clashes between both parties injured more than 10 fighters of them, while the conditions of these clashes remain vague, amid tension in the area, the Syrian Observatory also published on the 14th of October 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights clashes renewed between factions of the Turkish-led “Olive Branch” Operation, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory: a fight took place by medium and light weapons and with heavy machine guns in Afrin city between two factions, where fighters of one of the factions are from Deir Ezzor province, and the other one is an Islamic faction, and the Syrian Observatory’s local sources confirmed that the clashes seriously injured 5 fighters of both parties, amid attempts to stop the clashes through mediators of both parties, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 22nd of September 2018 that the Syrian Observatory monitored clashes described as violent between factions of the “Olive Branch” Operation, after a new internal clashes in Afrin area in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: clashes erupted after midnight of yesterday between 2 groups, one of them follows al-Shamiyyah Front and the other follows Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah Faction in al-Sinaa neighborhood in the middle of Afrin, where the clashes lasted for about 3 hours between both parties, which injured at least 3 members of both parties, sources suggested for the Syrian Observatory that the reasons for the clashes might be a disagreement over a house to be seized in Afrin city, and these clashes comes in as a new episode in a long series of fights against the backdrop of problems and disagreements about seized property, money, or thefts.
