Regime forces target Latakia mountain sector within the demilitarized area by several shells after intensive shelling targeted Idlib countryside

Violations in the Russian – Turkish truce areas continue to escalate as its guarantors fail to limit them, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces intensively targeting places in Kabani area in Jabal al-Akrad at the northern Latakia countryside, but no information about injuries, this comes after the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during the past hours that the regime forces continue violating the Russian – Turkish truce in the 4 provinces of Hama, Aleppo, Idlib, and Latakia, and continues to shell its areas, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces shelling areas on the outskirts of the towns of Jarjanaz, al-Ghadqa, Abu Dafneh, and Um Jalal in the eastern countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man, and other areas on the outskirts of Khan Shaykhun city and the towns and villages of al-Ferja, Zarzour, and Um al Khalakhil in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, but no information about casualties yet, this came in conjunction with the cancellation of Friday prayers by the sheikhs of mosques in the towns of al-Ghadqa, Jarjanaz, and their vicinity fearing for the lives of citizens, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that, within the demilitarized area and despite the so-called Turkish – Russian truce; the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them carried out ambushes and attacked positions of Jaysh al-Izza faction in the countryside of Hama, killing and wounding tens of them, in addition to the presence of missing members, and in the details monitored activists of the Syrian Observatory: the regime forces attacked a military point of Jaysh al-Izza on the evening of Thursday, the 8th of this month in al-Zallaqiyyat area southwest of al-Lataminah town in the northern countryside of Hama, where the regime forces were able during the surprise attack to take control of site and inflict casualties in the ranks of Jaysh al-Izza the Syrian Observatory had published in the evening, after that the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them set several ambushes for al-Izzat fighters; while they were trying to regain control of the site they lost at night, exploiting the altitude of the point they controlled which is monitoring several other points in the area, and the Syrian Observatory documented during the clashes which lasted until the morning hours of today, the 9th of November 2018, SOHR documented the death of more than 22 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza during the ambushes and the clashes, including at least one commander among them, also the clashes and ambushes have left tens of members of Jaysh al-Izza between wounded and missing, which may raise the death toll, and this is the highest death toll in the Syrian north since the beginning of 2018.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that it rose to 19 , the number of people who were killed in shelling by the regime forces on the northern and northwestern countryside of Aleppo and Idlib countryside, since the implementation of the demilitarized buffer area agreement on the 17th of September 2018, and they are: 9 people were killed in shelling by the regime forces on Jarjanaz town and its vicinity, and at least 7 citizens including 3 children and 3 women were killed in the shelling that targeted al-Raffa village, and a member of the engineering of the factions was killed in shelling on Hayyan neighbourhood, and a girl was killed in shelling on Kafr Hamra on the 24th of October 2018, and a civilian was killed in shelling on Kafr Hamra on the 25th of September 2018.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the escalated pace of violations today evening, Thursday, within the Russian – Turkish truce and the demilitarized zone, where a group of the regime forces attacked one of the points of Jaysh Al-Izza in the vicinity of Zilaqiat village in the northern countryside of Hama within the demilitarized area, then clashes took place between the both parties in the area through which the regime forces managed to take the control of the point before they withdrew from it again, where 2 members of Jaysh Al-Izza were killed in the clashes amid confirmed information about more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, the regime forces also renewed their shelling on places in the northern countryside of Hama and other places in Al-Rashideen area in the western suburbs of Aleppo, while the jihadist factions targeted with rocket shells, positions of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in Nahshaba and Tallat Abu Ali in the northern countryside of Latakia, without information about casualties so far.
