Tlul Al-Safa Battles result in an advancement and the death of 20 members of the regime forces, their allies and the organization within the attempts to end the latter’s presence under a cover of intensive shelling

Violent clashes are continuing between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the regime forces, at the administrative border between the provinces of Al-Suwaidaa and Rif Dimashq, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent fighting which resulted in advancement achieved by the regime forces in the area under a cover of heavy artillery and rocket shelling, where the regime forces managed to advance at the expense of the organization into the rugged area of Tlul Al-Safa, while the advancements, clashes and shelling resulted in the death of 14 ISIS members in addition to the death of 6 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, and the regime’s advancement in the southern part of Tlul Al-Safa area, enabled it to clamp down on the organization and decreased its scope of control, within the attempt by the regime forces with the Russian-backed 5th Corps and their allied military powers, to end the presence of the organization in the area after the process of handing over the abductees has been completed.

Thus, it rose to at least 242, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and the “reconciliation” factions; who were killed in bombings, shelling, and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, including members of the Lebanese Hezbollah one of them is a Lebanese leader, in addition to officers of various ranks of the regime forces the highest of them is a General, also at least 425 members of the “Islamic State” Organization were killed in the same period, and the clashes injured hundreds of both parties with varying severity, and the SOHR published on Tuesday, that areas in the desert of Rif Dimashq at the administrative border with al-Suwaidaa countryside; are witnessing the continuation of military operations of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in addition to the factions of the “reconciliation”, at the expense of the “Islamic State” Organization, where the violent clashes continue between both parties and concentrated within Tlul al-Safa, where the regime forces and their allies seek to go deeper into the area and control more sites and points, in order to end the presence of the organization in the area, while the organization is desperately trying to repel the attacks and hold its positions in its last enclave in the area, and occasionally it carries out ambushes and counterattacks against the regime forces and their allies, also the violent clashes are accompanied by continuous aerial and missile shelling targeting the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 9th of November 2018, that it has obtained information from intersected sources, who confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that 3 of al-Suwaidaa abductees (2 children and a woman) died before the abductees were handed over to the Syrian regime in the eastern desert of al-Sokhna, where the body of the woman is still missing but the bodies of both children were brought, raising to 6 people (2 children, a boy and 3 citizen women), the number of abductees who died and executed by the “Islamic State” Organization and during the detention period, which began on the 25th of July 2018. Reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that the discontent is mixed with happiness of al-Suwaidaa people for the return of abductees, and this resentment comes against the backdrop of the death of the 6 abductees; amid regime’s carelessness and its attempt to promote a “victory” by promoting that a military operation released the kidnapped people, at a time where the people are questioning the ways in which the kidnapped people were transported for hundreds of kilometers across the desert; while Tlul al-Safa area is still besieged by the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities.
