The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

On world Children’s Day, about 20700 Syrian children killed, tens of thousands wounded, hundreds of thousands displaced, and millions face unknown booby-trapped future

November 20th, World Children’s Day, this day almost do not take the Syrians into consideration, of the children who have been manipulated by adult plots, who have taken their future towards the unknown, that unknown in which there is no hope, only a curse after another pursue it in addition to those who are still outside the bars of international justice.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored for the past years since March 2011 until the International Day of the Child on the 20th of November; a tragic and miserable situation worsening day after day, all its levels are exhausted, and the international community pretend as if nothing has happened, leaving the Syrian children and their families burning in flames that burn the green and dry, putting them in their end.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented since the beginning of the Syrian revolution; the death of about 20700 children of Syrian nationality, out of tens of thousands of civilian casualties and hundreds of thousands of casualties, who were killed between the 18th of March 2011 and the 20th of November 2018, and among the casualties there are 1936 children under the age of eighteen who were killed in shelling by Russian Forces and warplanes, 2980 children under the age of eighteen were killed in bombardment by warplanes and helicopters of the regime, and about 260 were killed in shelling by the Turkish Forces and warplanes and by the Jandarma, and about 910 were killed by International Coalition warplanes, about 10200 were killed by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in addition to the rest of children who were killed in different circumstances either by rebel and Islamic factions, the “Islamic State” Organization, and other military forces fighting on the Syrian territory, while tens of thousands have been wounded and hundreds of thousands were displaced, and millions are facing an unknown booby-trapped future.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the deterioration of health, humanitarian, and living conditions of the Syrian children of all ages in various Syrian areas, where the conflict on the ground has become the first concern of the military forces, which turned the children from education seats to streets and work markets, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the deterioration of educational situation either in accordance with the regime’s curricula, opposition curricula, or SDF curricula, where the education is at its worst despite attempts to lift it by all parties, but the military conflict has put the education at the end of the interest lists, also the worsening of living conditions have led the children to leave schools and join the ranks of the military factions, or work in the industrial and the commercial fields and at the markets, searching for a work that help them and their families to survive, and the good education today has become a dream for the Syrians children, who suffer from the horrors of war, where the parties have not only eliminated their dream of good education, but also the attraction of children to the military side and involving them in combat has become the first goal, so that the children are turned into suicide bombers, “infiltrators,” and fighters, and death has become their fate instead of life.

And with killing thousands of Syrian children by various killers, in a different Syrian areas all over Syria, and the ambiguity that has become an omen of evil and badness for millions of Syrian children, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights is appealing carrying the cries and distress of the Syrian children, demanding the active international parties to protect the Syrian childhood and children, just as they protect the children of their countries from murder, hunger, destruction, and the unknown future, and to provide the Syrian children with the necessities that will enable them to raise their country, which is destroyed by those who pretend to be calling for “freedom and democracy”, where they have achieved no democracy, neither they established justice, nor free or equality, and the country now has its cemeteries expand, and its schools and educational centers shrink, and we are demanding large and massive campaigns for the rehabilitation of children suffering from war and its psychological and physical effects. , where every child has the right to life first of all, and then the right to learn and play, and to build its future with its own hand not to search for it in minefields and in centers threatened with destruction.
