Unidentified persons kill 4 men and throw their bodies on a road to Idlib city raising to 399, the number of citizens, fighters and commanders who have been assassinated since late April 2018

Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: security chaos continues in Idlib province and its vicinity, in the wake of the inability of factions which are in control of the area to control the security situation in it, or to reduce the spreading of killing operations, abductions and other operations whose pace has been increased in the province and its vicinity since late April 2018, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the finding of the bodies of 4 men who were killed and their bodies were dumped on the road between Idlib city and Bantanah village, and the party that carried out this killing operation is unknown until now, where they were killed by being shot at their head, raising to at least 399, the number of people who were assassinated and killed at the countryside of Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama, since the 26th of April 2018, they are the wife of an Uzbek commander and his son, in addition to 99 civilians including 14 children and 6 women, of who were assassinated through bomb explosions, IED detonations, shooting, abduction, murder and then throwing the bodies in remote areas, and 256 fighters of Syrian nationality belong to Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, al-Sham Corps, the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Izza, and other factions operating in Idlib, and 42 fighters of Somali, Uzbek, Asian, Gulf, Jordanian, Turkish and Caucasian nationalities have been assassinated in the same ways, also the assassination attempts have injured tens of people with varying severity.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored tension and fear prevail Idlib Province and the southern sector, particularly among the activists and workers of the international organizations, against the backdrop of the double assassination of the prominent activists in the Syrian peace movement, Raed al-Fares and Hammond Jneid, and the sources stressed that the fear comes from the escalation of assassinations and the repeated assassination of more activists working in the area, within the framework of the security chaos that the rebel and Islamic factions were not able to control it or even reduce it, and the SOHR published today morning that the assassination of al-Fares and Jneid took place on Friday, the 23rd of November 2018, when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them in Kafr Nubl town in the western countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man city in the southern countryside of Idlib Province at noon, and then the car escaped, without the security authorities being able to identify or apprehend the executors, where the shooting caused them serious injuries and they died affected by these wounds, where they were known for their positions on the arrests of factions, the sole control of a party, and the security violations and abuses of the forces present in Idlib and the Syrian north.
