(videos) Heavy shelling by the International Coalition targets the enclave of the organization along with the exit of more families from the latter’s enclave amid ongoing fighting in the area
Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continued violent clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces and the factions operating under their banner of Jaysh Al-Thowwar, Jabhat Al-Akrad Brigade and Deir Ezzor Military Council on one hand, against the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, in areas in Hajin town in the enclave that is controlled by the organization at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas, and bombardment by the International Coalition warplanes on positions of the organization and its controlled areas in Hajin and the enclave it controls, while the SOHR monitored targeting by the organization to armored vehicles of the SDF in the area amid information about the damage of 2 vehicles, while information has been received about the fact that the organization downed a drone of the SDF in the skies of Al-Bahra area which is near the organization’s enclave, the Syrian Observatory also monitored the exit of more citizens from the enclave that is left under the control of the organization, where they were transported by Jaysh Al-Thowwar and Syria Democratic Forces to the latter’s controlled areas away from the battle fronts.
And the Syrian Observatory published today morning, Thursday, that it monitored the continuation of violent clashes in Hajin town, which is located in the ISIS-controlled enclave at the east Bank of Euphrates River, where the Syrian Observatory monitored violent clashes between members of the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the Coalition against the “Islamic State” Organization in areas in the town, of which the Syria Democratic Forces were able to control more than half of it since the clashes started on Monday the 3rd of December 2018, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the violent clashes were accompanied by artillery shelling by Coalition Forces and SDF; targeted areas in Hajin town and other places around it within the ISIS-controlled enclave, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the raise of the number of ISIS casualties in the first 48 hours to 34 members including 3 suicide bombers at least, while it rose to at least 17 members of the SDF who were killed in the same clashes, during which the SDF managed to advance in the area and take the control of more than half of Hajin as a result of a violent attack by the SDF which aborted the attack of the organization as it tried to exploit the bad weather to achieve advancement in the area, and the attack was accompanied by shelling described as the most violent one since the start of military operations in the area on the 10th of September 2018.
Thus, it rose to 827, the number of fighters of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in shelling, clashes, bombings, and raids within the enclave of the organization since the 10th of September 2018, also it rose to about 481, the number members of the Syria Democratic Forces who were killed since the 10th of September 2018, also, the Syrian Observatory documented that it rose to 308 including 107 children and 69 citizen women (including 161 Syrian citizens including 70 children and 40 women of Syrian nationality), thus, which increased the number of people who were killed according to the 3 stages of the Coalition bombing, which was divided by the Syrian Observatory to 3 phases, the first of which is the first month of the military operation in which the Syria Democratic Forces and the Coalition advanced in the last enclave of the organization and controlled al-Baghuz, al-Susah, al-Shajla and parts of Hajin and the advanced in other outskirts and areas of the enclave, where Coalition airstrikes killed at least 5 Syrian civilians, and this first phase was from the 10th of September to the 10th of October 2018, while the second phase was from the 10th of October to the 28th of the same month, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the death of 47 civilians including 14 children and 7 women, including 15 Syrians including 8 children and 3 women, they were killed in airstrikes by the International Coalition warplanes which targeted at least 4 mosques, a Koranic school, and civilian homes, while the third stage represented by shelling by the International Coalition and killed 256 civilians including 93 children and 62 women, including 151 Syrian citizens including 62 children and 37 women, in several areas under the control of the “Islamic State” organization at the eastern bank of Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
