The activist who has been displaced from Madaya, Amjad Al-Maleh, is sentenced to death by Tahrir Al-Sham on charges of “providing Israel and the Coalition with coordinates of Hezbollah and the organization

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has received information from a number of reliable sources that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham has issued a death sentence against the displaced activist, Amjad Al-Maleh,  who is descended from Madaya city, which was besieged by the Lebanese Hezbollah and the regime forces before the implementation of the agreement of displacement to the Syrian North, and the reliable sources confirmed that the activist, Amjad Al-Maleh, who has been detained since the first half of December 2017, is sentenced to death by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, where the execution is expected to be carried out in the following 2 weeks, on charge of “giving coordinates of positions of the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Islamic State organization to Israel and the International Coalition”

Fears over the life of Al-Maleh is increasing, particularly by his family who have been displaced with him, from Madaya city, which suffered greatly due to the siege imposed by the regime forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah over the city which is located in the north-western Rif Dimashq, until the residents of the city and those of Zabadani city as well as a neighboring town, have been displaced towards Idlib province and the Syrian North, and the reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the release of Al-Maleh is possible, in the case that one of the mediators between Al-Maleh and the Israelis accepts to provide Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham with information about the persons who were dealt with, in providing Israel and the Coalition with the coordinates, while other sources accused Tahrir Al-Sham that it imposed the death sentence against Amjad Al-Maleh in an attempt to hide information about those who deal in this field of Tahrir Al-Sham, and the Syrian Observatory published on October 2018, it monitored the continuation of the arrest of the media activist Amjad al-Malih by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, he is from Madaya city northwest of Rif Dimashq and he was displaced along with thousands of others of his town and the neighboring areas, in a demographic change deal versus al-Fu’ah and Kafriya in which Shiite citizens used to live, where they were displaced to Idlib but Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham detained him along with 3 other of Madaya, but Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham release them all except for al-Malih who stayed in its jails, without allowing him to be visited or even check on his health status.

The reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that Amjad al-Malih was accused by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham of “communicating with regional and international intelligences, and working with them to provide them with sites and information about fighters and jihadist leaders”, in addition to being accused of supplying “the Israeli Forces with information about the coordinates and locations of the Lebanese Hezbollah in the eastern mountains of al-Zabadani area which Israel targeted the last year”, and despite these accusations against al-Malih, which delayed the process of releasing him or facilitate his release, but sources close to al-Malih denied his any relation for Amjad al-Malih with any global, regional, or local intelligence service, and they said that the reasons for his arrest came because he “exposed the practices and violations of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and its excesses against the Syrian north and the Syrian people, and that al-Malih was working on a full file about the displaced people of Zabadani and Madaya, to prevent the loss of their possessions and rights that they have lost lifetime to earn”, before Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham’s security kidnap him and put him in prison, weeks after he arrived in Idlib province, in a journey of displacement after months of hunger and illness practiced by the Lebanese Hezbollah against sons of Madaya, Zabadani, Bukain and other areas in al-Qalamoun.

It is noteworthy that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham abducted between the 10th of December 2017, and the 13th of the same month, 4 activists from Madaya city and took them to one of its detention centers in Idlib province, then it released 3 of them, while it maintained the activist Amjad Al-Maleh, which is still raging the resentment among the people displaced from east of Damascus and the northwestern Rif Dimashq as well as other Syrian areas to Idlib province, in which displaced people expressed their resentment against this detention, accusing Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham that they carry out such arrests for reasons based on malicious pretexts through slanders from opposite parties against the activists, who contributed in reporting the hunger and the siege of Madaya and the besieged areas of the northwestern Rif Dimashq, before the regime forces and Hezbollah backed by regional sponsor and international silence, carried out a demographic change that took place with an agreement through which hundreds of citizens and fighter were transported from Madaya, Zabadani and the Western Qalamoun to Idlib in return for getting hundreds of the gunmen loyal to the regime forces and their families as well as citizens out of Al-Fu’aa and Kafriya in Idlib countryside, which are besieged by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham.
