ISIS heavily shells the Iranian forces’ most important city on Tehran – Beirut Road in the west of the Euphrates
Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored shelling on the western banks of the Euphrates River, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the “Islamic State” organization carried out today, Thursday the 13th of December 2018, heavy shelling on areas in Al-Bokamal city, which is the most important city for the Iranian forces on Tehran – Beirut Road, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, near the Syrian – Iraqi border, without information about human losses so far, and this shelling comes about 24 hours after continued shelling by the organization from the evening o Tuesday to the noon of Wednesday, with mortars, to areas in the villages of Al-Sokkariyeh and Al-Himdan, in Al-Bokamal city east of the Euphrates River in the western sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, controlled by the Iranian forces and the regime forces, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, and the Syrian observatory published yesterday, that 4 members of the “Islamic State” organization were killed by strikes by the Iranian forces on areas in al-Susah town and its surroundings and other areas, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the exchange of targeting renewed between the members located on the eastern and western banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory; the regime forces and the Iranian force that are stationed in Al-Bokamal city and Al-Ghabra area at the western banks of the Euphrates River, targeted the areas of the “Islamic State” organization at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, where the shells targeted areas in Al-Sha’afah and Al-Susah towns, followed by targeting by the organization on areas in Al-Bo-Kamal and Al-Ghabra, without information about human losses, and the Syrian Observatory monitored on the 4th of December 2018, clashes between the Iranian forces and the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the outskirts of Al-Bokamal city in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, on Tehran – Beirut Road, where the attack came after members of the organization had infiltrated via the Euphrates River, coming form the enclave that the organization controls at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, amid exchange of targeting on the clash areas, and confirmed information about the killing of members of the both parties.
And the Syrian Observatory published that violent clashes that took place on Thursday the 22nd of November 2018, in areas in the T2 Station in the desert at the administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Homs deserts, between the Iranian forces and the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, against the “Islamic State” organization, in an attack that was carried out by the organization on positions of the Iranians and their allies, where the violent clashes were accompanied by exchange of targeting and shelling, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the fall of human losses against the background of the shelling, targeting and clashes, where 4 members at least of the organization were killed in its attack, while 2 members at least of the gunmen loyal to Iran were killed in the same attack that was carried out by the organization, while the Syrian Observatory published on the 19th of November 2018, that that areas in the countryside of Deir Ezzor and Sha’afah town which is controlled by the “Islamic State” organization; and villages of Hasrat and al-Sayyal which are under the control of the regime forces and their allies of the Iranian Forces, the Syrian and non-Syrian gunmen, witnessed exchange of shelling between both parties, but no information about casualties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 18th of November 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored shelling by the regime forces on the controlled areas of the “Islamic State” organization, at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory; the regime forces shelled areas in Al-Susah and Al-Baghuz towns in ISIS last enclave, at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, followed by targeting by the organization on the regime’s controlled areas in Al-Sokkariyeh area adjacent to Al-Bokamal city, and no information was reported about human losses.
The Syrian Observatory also published in the 14th of November 2018, that it monitored rocket shelling carried out by the regime forces and the Iranian Forces on Wednesday evening, the 14th of November 2018, targeted places in Hajin town which is controlled by the “Islamic State” Organization at the eastern bank of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where this shelling comes as a response or retaliation for the attack carried out by ISIS hours ago on positions of the Iranians, the regime forces, and their allies on the west bank of Euphrates River, while the Syrian Observatory published at that day, that the Syrian Observatory monitored violent clashes in areas in the desert of al-Dwayr village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the west bank of Euphrates River, between the Iranian Forces and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; against the “Islamic State” organization, in a sudden attack carried out by members of the organization on sites of the regime forces and their allies, amid exchange of targeting and shelling, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, while these attacks come in spite of the large fortifications that the Iranian Forces and the regime forces are carrying out and their securing of their positions, where the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the Iranian Forces in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor at the west bank of Euphrates River; continue to fortify their positions and points in anticipation of any counterattacks by the Islamic State organization against the Iranian Forces and the regime forces and their allies there, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the Iranian Forces continuing planting IEDs and mines along the west bank of Euphrates River -where they are located,- as part of their fortifications to reduce the frequency of attacks by the Organization through crossing the Euphrates river from the east bank -where its enclave is located- to the west bank, also this fortification process comes with anticipation to launch the major ground operation of SDF east of Euphrates, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 5th of November 2018, that since losing its strategic control on the road of Tehran – Beirut in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the western banks of Euphrates River, in December 2017; the “Islamic State” Organization has not stopped threatening the regime forces and their allies of the Iranian Forces, the Palestinian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Afghan, Syrian and Asian militias who are present in the entire western line of Euphrates, the threat took the form of artillery and ground attacks targeted the regime forces and its allies, or through ground attacks monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, in which the “Islamic State” Organization moves from the eastern banks of Euphrates River, coming from its last pocket east of the river to the west bank of the river, and it comes every time from an area trying to bluff the regime forces and their allies, and despite their surveillance of the river they were not able to stop these attacks, which cause large numbers of casualties and wounded each time, also the Organization was able to make a road for itself to exit towards the Syrian Desert, in which the Organization has a large enclave in addition to positions scattered within the Syrian Desert on the administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Homs.
