During the last 2 months of military operations in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor, the International Coalition deliberately carried out airstrikes against most areas of control of the “Islamic State” Organization in its last enclave, which is located at the east bank of Euphrates River, and the bombardment targeted several places of houses of civilians, property, The “Islamic State” organization’s headquarters, hospitals, and other service centers, in addition to targeting mosques and religious centers in the last enclave of the Organization east of Euphrates, of which the International Coalition Forces and the Syria Democratic Forces are working to end it and control it completely, to end the existence of the “Islamic State” organization there, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring during the last 2 months targeting by the International Coalition of 6 mosques and religious centers; in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside within ISIS enclave, which killed a large number of civilians and members of the “Islamic State” since the beginning of the military operations in the area, on the 10th of September 2018.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 133 civilians and members of the “Islamic State” Organization since the 18th of October 2018, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 52 civilian casualties including 10 children and 4 citizen women, in addition to 81 civilians casualties, they are 13 members of the Organization were killed in strikes targeted a mosque in al-Bukhatir area in the eastern suburbs of Hajin town, also the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 7 civilian casualties and 9 members of the Organization in the bombing on al-Zuwiya mosque in Hajin town on the 24th of October, and the Syrian Observatory documented on the 22nd of October 2018; targeting al-Ghannam and al-Aziz mosques in al-Susah town, which killed 37 members of the “Islamic State” Organization, also the Syrian Observatory documented on the 19th of October 2018, the targeting a mosque in al-Bobadran area, which killed 23 civilians including 3 children in addition to 11 members of the “Islamic State” organization, the Coalition warplanes also targeted the mosque of Ammar bin Yasser on the 18th of October 2018, which killed 18 civilians including 7 children and 4 women, in addition to 11 members of the “Islamic State” organization, also these strikes caused great destruction and injured tens of people with varying degrees of severity.
These casualties come within the total number of casualties documented by the Syrian Observatory since the start of the military operations in September 2018, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that it rose to 945, the number of fighters of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in shelling, clashes, bombings, and raids within the enclave of the organization since the 10th of September 2018, also it rose to about 545, the number members of the Syria Democratic Forces who were killed since the 10th of September 2018, also, the Syrian Observatory documented that it rose to 328 including 113 children and 72 citizen women (including 180 Syrian citizens including 76 children and 43 women of Syrian nationality), while the Syrian Observatory documented significant casualties during this third month, which caused the killing of 200 civilians including 77 children and 47 women, including 135 Syrian citizens including 55 children and 28 women, in several areas under the control of the “Islamic State” organization at the eastern bank of Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory also documented the killing of 257 members of the “Islamic State” Organization since the 10th of November to 10 December 2018, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 172 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces during the same period.
