After an infiltration kill 11 ISIS members, clashes concentrate again in the eastern suburbs of Hajin amid ground shelling and the flight of Coalition warplanes

Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: warplanes of the International coalition continue to fly over the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, in conjunction with carrying out renewed airstrikes on the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas in its last enclave on the east bank of Euphrates River, where the clashes continue between the Syria Democratic Forces against the Islamic State organization, in areas at the eastern suburbs of Hajin town in the Organization’s last enclave east of Euphrates, accompanied by renewed rocket shelling targeted sites and areas of the Organization there, and Islamic factions about casualties in the ranks of both parties. These clashes after a group of members of the “Islamic State” Organization infiltrated yesterday into Hajin town, taking advantage of the bad weather conditions which the area witnessed on Monday, the 17th of December 2018, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the Syria Democratic Forces were able to besiege the group of at least 11 members within Hajin town, where they were besieged from all sides and then the International Coalition began the intensive strikes targeting the positions of ISIS members, which killed the entire group, where the organization is desperately seeking to regain control of Hajin town, which it lost a few days ago after an intense attack supported by intensive aerial and ground shelling by the International Coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces; until the organization collapsed and retreated to the eastern outskirts of Hajin town, which used to be the largest stronghold of the organization in the part remained for it of the populated areas in Syria.

Raising to 956, the number of fighters of the “Islamic State” organization, who were killed in shelling, clashes, bombings, and raids within the enclave of the organization since the 10th  of September 2018, also it rose to about 545, the number members of the Syria Democratic Forces who were killed since the 10th of September 2018, also, the Syrian Observatory documented that it rose to 328 including 113 children and 72 citizen women (including 180 Syrian citizens including 76 children and 43 women of Syrian nationality), while the Syrian Observatory documented significant casualties during this third month, which caused the killing of 200 civilians including 77 children and 47 women, including 135 Syrian citizens including 55 children and 28 women, in several areas under the control of the “Islamic State” organization at the eastern bank of Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory also documented the killing of 257 members of the “Islamic State” Organization since the 10th of November to 10 December 2018, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 172 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces during the same period.
