Regime’s checkpoints impose tight control on its checkpoints near the occupied Golan following shelling targeted one of them in Yarmouk Basin in conjunction with Israeli strikes

This targeting coincided with the Israeli strikes that took place in the west and southwest of Rif Dimashq, also the security tightening on the checkpoints comes after the same Israeli targeting for the aforementioned areas, where the Syrian Observatory published last night that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent explosions which rocked the capital Damascus and its suburbs, were caused by Israeli missile strikes carried out by warplanes from the Lebanese airspace, and they targeted areas in both western and south-western countryside of the capital Damascus, where the Israeli bombardment and the firing of missiles by the regime’s air defenses are still continuing, and intersected sources confirmed to the SOHR, that a batch of missiles hit 3 targets in both western and south-western countryside of the capital Damascus, and the targets are weapons depots either of the Lebanese Hezbollah or of the Iranian forces, without information so far, about human losses or the amount of the material damage, while the bombardment is still continuing until this moment, also information was received about the fall of objects on the area of the occupied Syrian Golan, it is not known whether they are of a missile that was fired from the Syrian territory or they are shrapnel of the missiles of the air defenses that the regime forces fired in order to intercept the Israeli missiles in Syria’s airspace.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 8th of December 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that regime’s security forces carried out raids in the western sector of Daraa countryside, where the Syrian Observatory monitored groups of regime’s intelligence forces and raiding houses in al-Jomla town in Yarmouk basin, which used to be controlled by Jaysh Ibn Khalid al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the arrest of 12 people on charges of belonging to Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid, and they were taken to headquarters of the regime forces in the area, also the Syrian Observatory learned that some of the arrested people of the relatives of the founder of Jaysh Ibn Abu Khalid al-Walid; Abu li al-Bridi aka al-Khal, who was killed by a bombing by Jabhat al-Nusra (al-Qaeda Organization in the Levant), while two of those who were arrested were of the nomads who were in al-Jomla area, also locals confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that this is the first time in which raiding took place against areas used to be under the control of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid and people got arrested on charge of belonging to ISIS Organization.
