Al-Nusra prepares to expand control, regime bombs truce zones

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the rural of Idlib in general are under high alert of mercenary gangs in their respective areas of control.

Turkey’s National Liberation Front mercenaries continue to reinforce their points, fortify them by lifting barrages, and bringing more mercenaries to the checkpoints and points, such as the Marat al-Numan, Ariha and others.

In their turn, the mercenaries of Heyat Tharir al-Sham brought reinforcements to Ariha area in the southern sector of the Idlib countryside, and the areas of Besinqul, Bassamas and Qarsaya. The sources speculated that these reinforcements are being prepared by mercenaries of Heyat Tahrir al-Sham to extend their control over Idlib.

On the other hand, the Syrian Observatory monitored the rocket attack carried out by the regime forces after midnight on Sunday – Monday on places in the town of Latamna and its outskirts and al-Zakat village in the northern countryside of Hama, and other places in al-Saramani axis in the north-western Hama, within the demilitarized zone after a relative calm witnessed in the area.

Turkey and Russia agreed on 17 September 2018 to establish a demilitarized zone of 15-20 km, including parts of the governorates of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Lattakia. Under the agreement, Turkey had to withdraw the heavy weapons from that area and to withdraw the mercenaries till 15 October, but Turkey did not abide by the agreement and did not implement its provisions.
