In the first targeting in the new year…Israeli strikes target the Iranians and Hezbollah in the vicinity of the capital Damascus and its south-western countryside and destroy warehouses of them 17 days after similar targeting

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the explosions which hit the capital Damascus and its vicinity today, Friday, were caused by Israeli strikes which targeted the vicinity of Damascus International Airport as well as other areas in the south-western Rif Dimashq, where they targeted the vicinity of Damascus International Airport with 2 missiles at least, while the major targeting was carried out against Al-Kiswah area and other areas in the south-western Rif Dimashq, where positions and warehouses of the Iranians and Hezbollah are located, and the strikes resulted In destroying warehouses and weapons of them (the Iranians and Hezbollah) in the vicinity of Damascus International Airport, the vicinity of Al-Kiswah area as well as other places in the south-western Rif Dimashq, while the air defenses fired several anti-aircraft missiles in an attempt to repel this Israeli missile attack, and these new strikes come after similar strikes that were carried out on the 25th of December 2018, where the Syrian Observatory published at that time, that the violent explosions which rocked the capital Damascus and its suburbs, were caused by Israeli missile strikes carried out by warplanes from the Lebanese airspace, and they targeted areas in both western and south-western countryside of the capital Damascus, where the Israeli bombardment and the firing of missiles by the regime’s air defenses are still continuing, and intersected sources confirmed to the SOHR, that a batch of missiles hit 3 targets in both western and south-western countryside of the capital Damascus, and the targets are weapons depots either of the Lebanese Hezbollah or of the Iranian forces, without information so far, about human losses or the amount of the material damage, while the bombardment is still continuing until this moment, also information was received about the fall of objects on the area of the occupied Syrian Golan, it is not known whether they are of a missile that was fired from the Syrian territory or they are shrapnel of the missiles of the air defenses that the regime forces fired in order to intercept the Israeli missiles in Syria’s airspace.

And successive explosions rocket on Saturday the 15th of September 2018, areas in the suburbs of the capital Damascus, intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that they were caused by rocket targeting which hit areas near Damascus International Airport and its vicinity, believed to be fired by the Israeli forces, targeting warehouses and a weapons shipment that recently arrived to these warehouses, which caused substantial damage, but no information about casualties was reported yet, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 4th of September 2018, that the explosions which rocked the coastal city of Baniyas in Tartus countryside, and Misyaf Mountains in the western countryside of Hama, were caused by Israeli rocket shelling which targeted positions including Iranian military constructions, which caused material damage, amid confirmed information about the fall of casualties, where 2 violent explosions rocked at that time, Baniyas area in Tartus countryside, intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that they were caused by the fall of 2 missiles on the area of Harf Bnamra near Baniyas Refinery, in the area of Deir al-Bishl, in the outskirts of Baniyas city, and this is the first time that Baniyas is subjected to rocket targeting, while no information was reported about the amount of material damage, and the Syrian Observatory monitored in the same day, the sound of violent explosions that rocked Misyaf area, in the western sector of Hama countryside, caused by rocket targeting to Misyaf Mountains, on the road between Misyaf city and the area of Wadi Al-Oyoun, and their source is not known so far, the SOHR also published on the 2nd of September 2018, that 3 persons including two members of the military personnel, were killed as a result of the explosions which targeted Al-Mazza Military Airbase and which were caused by Israeli rocket targeting, where it resulted in successive explosions in ammunition depots inside the airbase, in addition to the fall of 10 wounded some of whom are in serious condition.
