The SDF continue their military operations within the last areas left under ISIS control at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River and the contact areas witness the entry and exit of columns affiliated to the International Coalition

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syria Democratic Forces’ military operations continue within the areas that are still remaining under the control of the “Islamic State” organization in positions within its last enclave at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, where the clashes are continuing between the both parties, accompanied by renewed and continued shelling on the positions of the organization, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today evening, Friday, the entry of 3 minesweepers and other vehicles of the International Coalition to the contact areas east of the Euphrates, also today, Friday, witnessed the entry of a column of the International Coalition in the afternoon, where 9 Hummer vehicles and 2 military Zil trucks have entered the contact areas, followed by the exit of another column of 7 Hummer vehicles and 2 military Zil trucks, while the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that the operation of the International Coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces for ending the “Islamic State” Organization east of Euphrates; have completed its 4th consecutive month, since its launch on the 10th of September 2018 until the 10th of January 2019, where the last month of military operations was marked by the rapid collapse of the organization and the mass flee of its population, and also the first request for withdrawal by the organization, in addition to the decrease in killings of civilians and the increase in number of casualties among members of the “Islamic State” Organization, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the Syria Democratic Forces in the fourth month since the 10th of December 2018, until 10 January 2019 achieving of broad advancement, where they controlled the enclave of the “Islamic State” organization except for the towns of al-Susah and al-Baghuz Foqani and part of al-Shafa town on the east bank of Euphrates, after a ground offensive exploiting the collapse of the “Islamic State” organization and the flee of hundreds of its members either to the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, surrendering,  or arresting them by the Syria Democratic Forces, and by fire support from the International Coalition forces whether through aerial bombardment or ground shelling targeted the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled enclave.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that it rose to 14100, the number of people who have gotten out of the organization’s enclave in December 2018, of different nationalities of Syria, Iraq Russia, Somalia, Philippine and other Asian nationalities, and about 13350 of them have gotten out after the decision of the American president Trump to withdraw from Syria on the 19th of December 2018, including about 720 members of the organization of those who infiltrated within the displaced people, and they were arrested after the residents recognized them and reported the security services about their infiltration, and the other group surrendered themselves after they managed to get out of ISIS last enclave, also people of those who fled confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the organization is greatly collapsed, and it can not resist no more, where the organization depends in repelling the attacks, on the heavily-planted landmines, the booby trapped vehicles and the “suicide bombers”.

And the Syrian Observatory learned that the Organization called on the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition to open a safe passage for it to move to the Iraqi desert, but their request was rejected, and it was given one offer, “surrender or die”, where this is the first request by the Organization to withdraw, despite the ferocity of the previous attacks by the Syria Democratic Forces, and the local sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the “Islamic State” organization has collapsed greatly and it can no longer hold anymore, where the organization depends in repelling the attacks, on the heavily-planted landmines, the booby trapped vehicles and the “suicide bombers”, and earlier sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that the number of those who remained in the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization is much lower than before, in conjunction with significant decrease in number of fighters, who were divided between supporters of the surrender and between escapee, dead, wounded, and searchers for escape from the area towards the west of Euphrates areas, while several sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the presence of fighters refusing to surrender who want to resistance to the end; and the presence of large numbers of mines planted within the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas; are still preventing the Syria Democratic Forces from taking full control of the area and put an end the presence of the organization east of Euphrates River.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago, that it obtained information from several cross intersected sources, confirming that the overwhelming majority of those who fled the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization and arrived the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas in Deir Ezzor countryside, have carried large amounts of money varied according to people, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the majority of those who came out of the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization, who reached thousands of people in the last 40 days, they had insane amounts of money, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the money was mostly US dollars, and each person had between $100 thousand and $500 thousand USD, while the Iraqis who fled the enclave had at least $300 thousand USD, and little amounts of Syrian currency were found in their possession estimated by about tens of thousands of Syrian pounds, and most of the times did not exceed 50 thousand Syrian pounds, and the reliable sources confirmed that the majority of those who have got out are Iraqi families and of other non-Syrian nationalities, the local sources that managed to escape and exit from the enclave, confirmed that the organization is executing those who its arrests during their escape From the area; on charges of “going out to the land of infidel,” while those who went out have risked their lives in order to reach the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas, , also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 19th of December 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Islamic State” organization executed 3 members in its last enclave in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, on charges of “smuggling civilians” out of ISIS enclave towards areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces at the east bank of Euphrates River, and in the same context, it turned out that among the people who managed to escape the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization towards SDF areas; there were members of the Organization who were identified by civilians.
