Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a violent explosion rocked the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, at the Basin of the Euphrates River, along with the flight of the International Coalition warplanes over the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the explosion was heard after provocations reliable sources confirmed that they were carried out by opening fire from the side where Syrian and non-Syrian gunmen loyal to the regime are located, towards Al-Sabha Water Station where a technical team of local engineers with technicians of the International Coalition were present, and it is not known so far whether the sound of explosion was caused by aerial targeting by warplanes affiliated to the International Coalition to a building in the controlled areas of the forces loyal to the regime, at the western banks of the Euphrates.

And the Syrian Observatory published that the International Coalition warplanes targeted on Friday, the 21st of December 2018, a bridge in the area between east and west of Euphrates in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, where reliable sources confirmed that the targeting took place while al-Baqir Brigade -which is led by a former Syrian opposition returned to the “bosom of the homeland” with his sons- was attempting to repair the bridge, which links both banks of the river at al-Kubar area, in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor Province, and the sources added that the attempt to repair the bridge of Halabiyya and Zalabiyya which was targeted by International Coalition, was an attempt by al-Baqir Brigade get the people to its side and earn their trust, or if it took place to prepare it for a future crossing of these forces and the pro-regime gunmen towards the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the bridge is an old military bridge the “Islamic State” organization had repaired it earlier, and was also targeted by the International Coalition warplanes earlier.
