Daraa Province witnesses more liquidation and security chaos after regime’s control over the Syrian south
Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights the province of Daraa is witnessing continuous security chaos all over it, manifested in kidnappings, killings, theft, and assassinations, mostly involving former faction leaders and fighters who have made reconciliations and settlements of their situations, in addition to other civilians and gunmen loyal to the regime forces, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a new assassination attempt in its countryside in the past few hours, where unknown gunmen targeted a person in al-Sanamin city, which injured him, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 12th of January 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a crossfire took place today, Friday the 11th of January 2019, in Al-Sanamayn in Daraa countryside, between members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, against former fighters of the factions of those who had their situations settled with the regime, and sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the crossfire came against the background of an attempt by the regime forces to arrest a former commander who used to operate for factions of those which chose the “reconciliations and settlements” in Al-Sanamayn area in Daraa countryside, at the end, the regime forces managed to arrest him without information about the reasons for the arrest, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that resentment prevails among the civilians and people of Daraa Province, due to the continuous and escalated security chaos, in the shadow of the control of the regime forces and militias loyal to them over the entire province, amid increased assassinations through IEDs, explosions, and bullets which targets the civilians, fighters, and former leaders of the factions who carried out reconciliations and settlements, where the Syrian Observatory monitored a new incident within the security chaos took place yesterday evening, where unknown people targeted by grenades a location of the regime forces in the Eastern Karak in the countryside of Daraa, but no information about casualties until the moment, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that unknown people threw the body of a man at al-Yadudeh Bridge in the northwestern countryside of Daraa, but no information about the reasons and circumstances of his killing, where sources confirmed that the killing took place after the man was kidnapped by gunmen, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday night that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that unidentified gunmen assassinated the chief of Al-Yadudah Municipality, after shooting him in the town which is located in Daraa countryside then they escaped, where this incident comes as a part of the security chaos and the liquidation war in Daraa province which is under the control of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and the Syrian Observatory published 4 days ago, that unidentified gunmen assassinated a member of regime’s intelligence in the countryside of Daraa, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: unknown gunmen on Sunday afternoon, the 6th of January 2018, shot a member of the Air Force intelligence in front of his home in his hometown, Da’el, in the mid-sector countryside of Daraa, which killed him immediately, while the Syrian Observatory published on Friday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored more assassinations that targeted former commanders in factions operating in the Syrian South, which joined the “reconciliation” in Daraa, with the regime forces, where the SOHR monitored in the recent hours, assassinations that targeted Omar Al-Sherif (a former commander in Jaysh Al-Yarmouk), and Mansour Al-Hariri (a former commander in Fallujat Hauran Division).
While the Syrian Observatory monitored on the 16th of December 2018, that shooting targeted a former commander of rebel division in Tafas town in the countryside of Daraa in an attempt to assassinate him, which injured his escort, while the Syrian Observatory published on the 11th of December 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the second assassination in about 48 hours in the countryside of Daraa, targeted former commanders of factions operating in Daraa Province, who had “reconciliation and settlements” with the regime, during regime’s control of the province, where the Syrian Observatory monitored on Tuesday, the 11th of December 2018, the assassination of a former leader in the ranks of Jaysh al-Thawra, where he was shot by unidentified gunmen in al-Muzayrib area, which killed him instantly, while the Syrian Observatory published 2 days ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that unidentified gunmen assassinated a faction’s former commander, in the countryside of Daraa province, where the SOHR monitored him being targeted by unidentified gunmen in Da’el area in the middle sector of Daraa countryside, and sources confirmed that the commander of Al-Karamah Brigade known as Al-Kankary, participated in the hand-over of fronts of the western countryside of Daraa, to the regime forces during their control operations that by the regime forces carried out in Daraa province months ago.
