After the death of about 2825 people in the eastern basin of Euphrates River, SDF continue to try to end ISIS control in the last kilometers left for it

Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor Province is witnessing the continuation of military operations by the Syria Democratic Forces, to impose their full control over what remained for the “Islamic State” Organization on the east bank of Euphrates River, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the continued attempts by Syria Democratic Forces to achieve more progress in the area, after they were able in the recent days to besiege the Organization in an area of ​​about 15 square kilometers, within the town of al-Baghuz Foqani and villages connected to it on the east bank of Euphrates River, and the continuous operations are accompanied by exchange of targeting on the clash areas between both parties, where the dying Organization is seeking through its counter attacks to expand its areas east of Euphrates, and the Syrian Observatory has documented since the beginning of the military operation to end the Organization on the 10th of September 2018, the death of hundreds, where it rose to 1122 the number of members and leaders of the “Islamic State” Organization, who were killed in the clashes, detonations and raids, while it rose to 621, the number of fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces who have been killed since the 10th of November to 10 December 2018, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the 10th of December 2018 the death of 367 people including 130 children and 83 citizen women (including 205 Syrian citizens including 85 children and 54 women of Syrian nationality), also the “Islamic State” organization had executed more than 713 detainees, of who were arrested on various charges including security members and members of the Organization who tried to break away of it and escape its controlled areas, and the executions were carried out inside headquarters and detention centers of the Organization, and within its controlled areas which are today confined to the towns of Sha’afah, al-Susah, al-Baghuz and villages of Abu Hasan, Bo Badran, al-Marashdah, al-Shajla, al-Kashmeh, al-Safiya and al-Bukhatir suburb east of Hajin, which extends along the east bank of Euphrates, along with its last enclave in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, the same sources also confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the Organization intentionally transferred 350 to 400 detainees and abductees it has; through Euphrates River to its enclave in Homs and Deir Ezzor west of Euphrates River, in addition to releasing hundreds of others, and between the detainees and those who were executed; their families still having the question about their fate, whether they were executed or released, and amid all these tragic events, reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the Organization buried the bodies of its victims in mass graves within its controlled areas.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored continued clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces against the “Islamic State” organization, in places in the remaining areas under the control of the organization at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, as a part of the continued attacks by the SDF after they managed to recover all the points and positions into which the organization had advanced during its attack on Al-Susah area today, Thursday, where ISIS started it with detonating 2 booby trapped vehicles at least, while the SOHR learned that the SDF are besieging at least 15 members of the organization, of those who were not able to escape after the attack they carried out in Al-Susah, the Syrian Observatory also documented human losses due to ISIS attack that it carried out today, Thursday, exploiting the dreadful weather conditions, where 8 members at least of he organization were killed, as well as the death of 2 fighters of the SDF, amid information about more human losses in the ranks of both parties, and the SOHR published hours ago, that it monitored violent clashes that took place between the Syria Democratic Forces against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, in the vicinity of what remained for the organization at the eastern sector of the Euphrates River, and the SOHR learned that the organization carried out a counter attack on positions of the SDF in Al-Susah area, through which it managed to advance into a number of points exploiting the dreadful weather conditions in the area, followed by advancements by the SDF where they restored the positions they lost, and the clashes were accompanied by explosions caused by exchange of targeting and bombings in the clash areas amid confirmed information about the fall of more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where the organization is seeking to expand its areas of presence after being confined in the last 15 square kilometer of the eastern banks of the Euphrates, where few hundreds of suicide bombers, infiltrators, fighters and commanders are still present in their last remaining areas in the east of the Euphrates.

While the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Wednesday, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an intensive flight of the International Coalition warplanes over the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and carrying out raids and strikes targeting what remained for the “Islamic State” Organization at the east bank of Euphrates River, while the SDF continue their attempts to achieve a new advancement and control over the last 15 square kilometers of the Organization, at the east bank of the river. These raids come hours after the bombing that targeted Manbij city and killed 4 members of the International Coalition and injured others, in addition to killing 5 of their escorts of the local fighters with 10 civilians from Manbij city’ residents and people, while the Syrian Observatory monitored during the past hours that the Syrian Observatory monitored the continuation of movement of the International Coalition to and from the fronts of the fight, where several vehicles of the Coalition of American Hummer vehicles and military trucks entered, followed by the exit of several other vehicles, also the Syrian Observatory monitored the entry of at least 10 trucks to the contact lines and the front with the rest of the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization, to get a new batch the remaining civilians and ISIS members out to the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas.

And the Syrian Observatory published on Tuesday, that the Syria Democratic Forces were able to achieve a new important advancement and control the entire town of al-Susah and its surroundings, besieging ISIS in al-Baghuz Foqani town and in villages and residential communities connected to it, with a combined area of about 15 square kilometers on the east bank of Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that the Syria Democratic Forces during their progress are still hampered by the heavily planted mines, while the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition are targeting positions of the Organization from the air if any resistance took place in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored at the same time the exit and entry of several American Hummer vehicles and military trucks, to and from the area of frontline area with what is left for of the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization at the east bank of Euphrates River, while reliable sources suggested that the Coalition and SDF could within the next little time achieve a military victory in the area, while the Syrian Observatory published in the last hours that the “Islamic State” Organization continues its attempt to survive within the last of what remained for it east of Euphrates, which used to control large parts of it when it formed its “Caliphate”, where the Syria Democratic Forces together with ground forces of the International Coalition and the latter’s air support, clamp down more on the Organization which was stretching in the Euphrates river basin area on the east bank, with one area extending from Hajin to the Syrian-Iraqi border, where the Syria Democratic Forces were able to progress and besiege the Organization in al-Susah area and al-Baghuz Foqani town, after cutting its connections to the Iraqi territory and reducing its control in the rest of the areas that used to form the last enclave of the Organization in east Euphrates area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several sources that a few hundred members of the “Islamic State” Organization -most of them are of Iraqi, Asian, Arab  and other Western nationalities- are still trying to counter the progression of the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition, and try to expand its control in the east of Euphrates River by relying on what remained of “infiltrators and suicide bombers, and by detonating booby-trapped vehicles and relying on intensive mines planted by the Organization in the vicinity of its areas.
