For the 8th day in a row, their 4 children are stuck under the rubble and the Coalition bombing prevents them from discovering their fate to escape from the ISIS enclave
Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources that more people have gotten out during the last hours, out of the remaining enclave of the “Islamic State”, where the Syrian Observatory monitored hundreds of ISIS members and their families getting out towards the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas, in conjunction with the continuous attack by the Syria Democratic Forces and the clashes that are taking place between them and between the remaining members of the organization refusing to surrender, and the sources confirmed that more than 300 persons including at least 70 members of the organization have gotten out towards the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas during the last hours, raising to 27450 the number of people who have gotten out of the organization’s enclave since early December 2018, of different nationalities of Syria, Iraq Russia, Somalia, Philippine and other Asian nationalities, and about 25400 of them have gotten out after the decision of the American president Trump to withdraw from Syria on the 19th of December 2018, including about 1870 members of the organization of those who infiltrated within the displaced people, and they were arrested after the residents recognized them and reported the security services about their infiltration, and the other group surrendered themselves after they managed to get out of ISIS last enclave, also people of those who fled confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the organization is greatly collapsed, and it cannot resist no more, where the organization depends in repelling the attacks, on the heavily-planted landmines, the booby trapped vehicles and the “suicide bombers”.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from local sources that tens of people are still trapped under the rubble of the destruction caused by the bombing by the International Coalition in al-Baghuz Foqani town, and in the areas that remain under the control of the “Islamic State” organization at the east bank of Euphrates River, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was able to communicate with many of the families which have gotten out towards the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas, and with the families that still have relatives present within the remaining ISIS enclave, they confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that many of the bodies, including children and women, are still trapped under the rubble of land and air shelling on the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas by the International Coalition and its warplanes, one of the residents confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that 4 of his children were killed in the bombing of the International Coalition on 17th of January 2019, where he is still with his wife within the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas, she is a mother of 4 children and unable to get out until she be certain of the fate of her 4 children and burry them in case they were dead, while the residents urged to stop the bombardment and to allow the residents and families to recover the bodies and bury them in a manner worthy of humanity, where several people still hope that there still people alive of relatives under the rubble of this destruction.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that it monitored an increase in number of casualties since the start of the military operation to end the presence of the “Islamic State” Organization from the entire area east of Euphrates, where it rose to 1179 the number of members and leaders of the “Islamic State” Organization, who were killed in the clashes, detonations and raids, while it rose to 637, the number of fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces who have been killed since the 10th of November to 10 December 2018, also the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that it rose to 388 people including 141 children and 86 citizen women (including 96 Syrian citizens including 96 children and 57 women of Syrian nationality) since the 10th of December 2018, also the “Islamic State” Organization had executed more than 713 detainees, of who were arrested on various charges including security members and members of the Organization who tried to break away of it and escape its controlled areas, and the executions were carried out inside headquarters and detention centers of the Organization, and within its controlled areas which are today confined to the towns of Sha’afah, al-Susah, al-Baghuz and villages of Abu Hasan, Bo Badran, al-Marashdah, al-Shajla, al-Kashmeh, al-Safiya and al-Bukhatir suburb east of Hajin, which extends along the east bank of Euphrates, along with its last enclave in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received earlier private audio recordings sent by families of Syrian citizens who are still in the “Islamic State” enclave within al-Baghuz town and the nearby areas, the citizens confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that several children and residents in the enclave are still under the rubble of buildings destroyed by the International Coalition through the airstrikes that targeted al-Baghuz town, and it is not known whether everyone has died so far or not, where the residents have confirmed that the evacuation of those stranded and dead from under the rubble of destruction is very difficult, because the reconnaissance drones warplanes and International Coalition warplanes are flying in the sky, and they target aby movement they monitor in al-Baghuz Foqani, and through Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the people called on the Syria Democratic Forces to reach a humanitarian truce, under which a safe passage will be opened for the remaining civilians and those who wish to leave the remaining enclave of the Organization, after the death and killing of hundreds and after the exit of thousands out of the ISIS enclave since the US decision to withdraw from the Syrian territory.
The Syrian Observatory and after the large killings of civilians within the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization since the 10th of September 2018, the date of the start of the final operation to end the existence of the Organization east of Euphrates, and as a result of the great destruction and the stay of many bodies and people trapped under the rubble of destruction caused by the military operations and bombing of the International Coalition, SOHR renews the appeal to the International Coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces top reach a humanitarian truce, in which the remaining civilians can be evacuated from the last enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization in al-Baghuz Foqani town and its vicinity, and villages connected to it and giving the remaining residents the opportunity to recover the trapped people and bodies from the under the ruins of the buildings destroyed by the International Coalition warplanes and the intensive and continuous bombardments on the area, also the SOHR renews its demand to hurry, so that more lives of civilians who have no guilt in this war are avoided, but the different circumstances prevented them from getting out the “Islamic State” organization’s-controlled areas, which executed all those who were trying to get the civilians out towards the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas.
Also the Syrian Observatory learned that some of those who fled the enclave of the organization, and while being transported to Al-Omar Oilfield and before being sorted out into camps, pay large sums of money in order to get out to areas such as Al-Busayrah, Theban and Gharanij, where sums of money exceed $ 10,000 are paid for fear of being arrested when they reach the camps into which they are sorted out, and the sources suggested that in most cases, ISIS members and families of ISIS members are the ones who pay such sums of money, where they pay them to the parties that are responsible for the transport to the camps from Al-Omar Oilfield, the reliable sources also confirmed that a batch of those who were in the enclave of the organization at the eastern banks of the river, have fled towards the west of the Euphrates River.
Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several cross intersected sources, confirming that the overwhelming majority of those who fled the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization and arrived the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas in Deir Ezzor countryside, have carried large amounts of money varied according to people, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the majority of those who came out of the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization, who reached thousands of people in the past days, they had insane amounts of money, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the money was mostly US dollars, and each person had between $100 thousand and $500 thousand USD, while the Iraqis who fled the enclave had at least $300 thousand USD, and little amounts of Syrian currency were found in their possession estimated by about tens of thousands of Syrian pounds, and most of the times did not exceed 50 thousand Syrian pounds.
And the reliable sources confirmed that the majority of those who have got out are Iraqi families and of other non-Syrian nationalities, the local sources that managed to escape and exit from the enclave, confirmed that the organization is executing those who its arrests during their escape From the area; on charges of “going out to the land of infidel,” while those who went out have risked their lives in order to reach the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas, , also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 19th of December 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Islamic State” organization executed 3 members in its last enclave in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, on charges of “smuggling civilians” out of ISIS enclave towards areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces at the east bank of Euphrates River, and in the same context, it turned out that among the people who managed to escape the enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization towards SDF areas; there were members of the Organization who were identified by civilians.
