Amid a state of tension and anger…Kawa al-Haddad roundabout in Afrin witnesses a gathering of displaced people from Ghouta and a protest demands the handing over of those who assaulted a number of displaced people from Damascus and its countryside

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the escalated tension and anger in Afrin city, which is under the control of the Turkish-backed factions of Operation “Olive Branch”, against the backdrop of widespread revolutions in the city today, by displaced people from the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, protesting against the killing and stabbing of several persons from the Eastern Ghouta in the past 24 hours, where the protesters gathered near the roundabout of Kawa al-Haddad which was destroyed by the factions and the Turkish forces previously during their control over the city, and put the Turkish flag and the banner of the Syrian Revolution instead, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the demonstration was accompanied by tension witnessed in the city, between Jaysh Al-Islam and Shuhada’a al-Sharqiyyah Gathering, and the residents while heading towards to the headquarters of the police leadership in Afrin city, demanded the handing over the murderers of a merchant from the capital Damascus, where the murderers belong to the faction Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah, and the expulsion of the faction most of whose fighters are descendent from Deir Ezzor province, out of Afrin city, and the Syrian Observatory published last night, Friday, that it monitored clashes by individual and medium weapons inside Afrin city which is under the control of the “Olive Branch” factions north-west of Aleppo, between fighters of Ahrar Al-Sharqiyyah against fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam and other gunmen, and the fighting is concentrated between the both parties near Nayrose roundabout and Al-Mahmudiyeh area in Afrin city, and the Syrian Observatory documented confirmed human losses in the ranks of both conflicting parties, while this fighting comes against the backdrop of the 2 incidents witnessed in the city today, the first of which was the stabbing of 3 young men from the displaced people of the Eastern Ghouta by members of Ahrar Al-Sharqiyyah after altercations between the both parties, and the second was the killing of an arms dealer of those who have been displaced from Damascus to Afrin, where he was killed as a result of crossfire against members of Ahrar Al-Sharqiyyah.

And the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that shooting was heard in Afrin city which is controlled by the “Olive Branch” factions who take their orders from Turkey, on Friday, the 25th of January 2019, caused by exchange of fire between members of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah faction and an owner of weapon shops who is a displaced man from al-Qalamoun, were the shooting killed the owner and injured his brother, but no information so far about the reasons of this armed quarrel, and in the Afrin city; the Syrian Observatory learned that members of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah faction stabbed three young men from displaced people of the Eastern Ghouta in al-Villat Street in Afrin city, after an argument its reasons were not known until the moment, where the situation of one of the stabbed young men is critical and he was transferred to the hospital, the Syrian Observatory also published on Thursday evening that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a series of new breaches by the Turkish-backed factions of the “Olive Branch”, in Afrin city which is under their control in the northern sector of Aleppo countryside, and in the detains of the incidents documented by the Syrian Observatory; members of the National Army of the Olive Branch, stole thousands of trees of the olive harvest from one of the villages in Bulbula township in the countryside of Afrin city, where these lands are owned by citizens who have been displaced from the area, and in Bafalyun village of Sharran township, the faction of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah continues to prevent the natives of the village from returning or entering their villages and houses, while a part of one of the houses was collapsed in which a mosque was constructed inside, and in Maabatli township, the Syrian Observatory monitored that gunmen of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah have beaten an old man after he refused to give them a royalty of 8 tanks of olive oil or its cash equivalent, and the breaches were not limited to be carried out against those remaining of Afrin’s locals, but the SOHR also documented that unidentified gunmen beat the “chairman of the committee of Qalamoun’s towns” who has been inhabited in Afrin city, where money in his possession was stolen as well as documents and laptops, then they escaped.
