Hours after Tahrir al-Sham withdrew from it nu a consensus, intensive rocket shelling targets Maarrat al-Nu’man leaving about 25 casualties and injuries, raising the death toll to 203

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the expansion of the ground shelling in areas of the Russian – Turkish truce and areas of Putin – Erdogan agreement, where the Syrian Observatory monitored missile shelling by the regime forces targeted areas in Maarrat al-Nu’man city in the southern countryside of Idlib by more than 15 missiles, which killed 6 people including a child, a woman, and an unidentified person, and injuring more than 17 other citizens with varying severity, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and the presence of information about a seventh casualties, and this shelling comes hours after the withdrawal of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham from the city after entering it, and after carrying out an agreement with elders and notables of the city, and the Syrian Observatory monitored an artillery shelling targeted places in al-Tah town in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, while the regime forces targeted places in the towns of al-Lataminah and Kafr Zita, and no information about casualties, also the Syrian Observatory was monitored the regime forces shelling areas in al-Hbit town in the southern countryside of Idlib, in conjunction with artillery shelling also by the regime forces targeted places in the villages of la-Qassabiyyeh and Tremla in the same countryside and other places in Sukayk village in the southeastern countryside of Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Right learned that the security force of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham withdrew from Maarrat al-Nu’man city after midnight of yesterday, after the raid they carried out yesterday evening, during which they took control of headquarters in the city, where the withdrawal process came after reaching an agreement with elders and dignitaries in the city, which led to handing over all the military headquarters in Maarrat al-Nu’man city to the “Shura Council and Revolutionary parties”, provided that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the “Islamic police” control the checkpoints at the highway of Maarrat al-Nu’man, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday evening that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the city of Maarrat Al-Nu’man in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, is witnessing a state of tension, against the backdrop of a force of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham storming the city and imposing its control over headquarters in it, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; a force of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham stormed Maarrat Al-Nu’man today evening, Monday the 28th of January 2019, and imposed its control over a headquarters of Al-Sham Corps in the city (that was the museum previously), that force also took the control of another headquarters of Suqour Al-Sham (that was previously a bank in the city), while a meeting is being conducted now between dignitaries and notables in the city and between representatives of Tahrir Al-Sham to break up the disputes and reach an agreement, where Tahrir Al-Sham tends to bring the city and its institutions under the control of the Rescue Government, while the faction Suqour Al-Sham closed today, Monday, a “Dawah” office established by Tahrir Al-Sham in Maarrat Al-Nu’man, under the pretext of the non-coordination with the faction, while the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Sunday, that after the control of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the “jihadi” factions on the areas that used to be controlled by rebel and Islamic factions in the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, and Hama, outside of control of the pro-Turkish factions of “Olive Branch” and “Euphrates Shield” Operations, where Tahrir al-Sham imposed the influence the National Rescue Government over about 9000 square kilometers, which is about 4.8% of the area of Syria. And while Turkey and Russia sought to show their agreement as successful agreements, which are Russian – Turkish truce that has been in force since the 15th of August 2018, and the Putin – Erdogan agreement for the demilitarized area reached on the 17th of September 2018, the “jihadi” refused to withdraw from the buffer area extending from the northeastern mountains of Latakia, through the countryside of Hama and Idlib, until the northwestern suburbs of Aleppo city, they also partially withdraw the weapons and kept the remaining heavy weapon buried in trenches that were dug for them.
