After the disagreement and clannish fighting in Al-Tabaqa…skirmishes erupt between 2 families in Al-Raqqah city accompanied by tension and alertness in order to contain and calm down the situation

Al-Raqqah Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored new tension between families from Arab clans live in Al-Raqqah city, and intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory, that the tension comes against the backdrop of shooting by a man on a woman in the area of Al-Sur Al-Athari, which ignited a state of tension between the two families, in addition that the woman was injured with varying severity, while a state of alertness is prevailing in order to stop the tension and skirmishes between both parties, and the Syrian Observatory published before more than 24 hours, that al-Tabaqa city in the western sector of al-Raqqah countryside is witnessing tension, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the tension came after a quarrel between 2 groups of al-Nasser clan and Wahab clan in al-Tabaqa city, due to disagreement between currency exchange offices as confirmed by several local sources, where exchange of gunfire and clashes took place between both parties, which killed a young man from Wahab clan and information about wounded, which prompted the internal security forces “Asayish” to impose a curfew in al-Tabaqa city, where Asayish forces issued a circular of which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy, it states:

“Because of the differences between some parties in al-Tabaqa city this afternoon, and to avoid any other consequences that could cause riots and sabotage of public and private property in the city, and not to allow the situation between the parties to deteriorate and to find a solution for these differences, the following is decided: a total curfew is declared in the city until further notice, and it is prohibited to enter and exit the city completely, this circular is valid from the date of its issuance, and all the citizens must abide by the content of the circular, and anyone who violates the content of the circular will be held accountable.”

The Syrian Observatory published on the 30th of October  2018 that the Turkish authorities and intelligence failed in creating a clannish sedition in Al-Raqqah countryside, one of their attempts was represented by the try of 8 persons of Al-Hanadi Clan, to create a sedition between this clan and between Al-Boassaf Clan, through kidnapping one of the members of the latter clan, beating and insulting him, in the name of “Al-Hanadi Clan”, in Al-Buz area in Tal Abyad countryside, then the Kurdish Internal Security Forces (Asayish) arrested and investigated them, where reliable sources confirmed that they confessed that they were propelled by Turkey to create a clannish sedition, in an attempt to create a state of disorder in the area, along with the Turkish preparations for a military operation against the area of the east of the Euphrates, which is controlled by the SDF, and the video that shows the young men torturing the man of Al-Boassaf Clan who they kidnapped, became widespread, but the intervene of nobles and dignitaries as well as the Kurdish Internal Security Forces between the both clans, clarified the points of view between them, and prevented a clannish fighting that the members of the sleeper cells aimed to ignite between the clans.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 1st of February 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the internal security forces in the western sector of al-Raqqah countryside; have released tens of detainees from the area following the mediations by elders and dignitaries from the Arab clans present in the area, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the Internal Security forces released about 75 people of who took part in the protests in al-Mansoura town in the western countryside of al-Raqqah a few days ago, where the Syrian Observatory published that tens of the town’s people participated aftermath a member of Asayish killed a young man from al-Bo Khamis clan, while the internal security forces denied that he was killed under torture and said that he died of a heart attack, while the Syrian Observatory published on the 26th of January 2019 that tension is still prevailing the western countryside of Al-Raqqah, specifically in Al-Mansurah area, against the backdrop of the protests that took place in the recent days, by the residents of Al-Mansurah town, as a result of killing a young man of Al-Bokhamis Clan in J’eidin village, by the Internal Security Forces present in the town, and intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that after a curfew was imposed, and after the protests that were accompanied by attacks on security detachments and burning them and burning vehicles as well as cutting off main roads pass through the town, the Asayish forces are still continuing a campaign of searching and raids, within Al-Mansurah town, where the raids were accompanied by arrests that targeted about 70 persons of the town’s residents, and intersected sources said that the raids and searching operations are still continuing, for persons who are accused of belonging to “cells affiliated to the organization and Turkey and factions loyal to it”, amid widespread popular resentment against these arrests, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night, that the area is witnesses the intervention of mediators and clans’ sheikhs in order to release all people who have been arrested, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Thursday, that the tension continues in al-Mansoura area in the western countryside, after the recent events, amid curfew in the town by the forces controlling it, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the tension continues to prevail in al-Mansoura town after a member of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” killed a young man on a checkpoint at the entrance to al-Mansoura, which ignited anger among the people who expressed their dissatisfaction with the incident by protesting and setting fire to cars and a detachment belongs to the Internal Security Forces, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of the statement issued by the Internal Security Forces “Asayish,” it says:

“al-Mansoura town of al-Tabaqa area witnessed this morning, Wednesday, the 23rd of January 2019, at 12 pm, and when members of the Internal Security Forces were performing their regular duties of checking and inspecting at the checkpoints and points; a person did not obey the instructions of members of the checkpoint, forcing a person to intervene, which injured the driver of the car with a gunshot that claimed his life, as a result, the town witnessed some unfortunate riots where some people attacked centers and checkpoints of the internal security forces which damaged property, destabilized the area, and terrified the people, and caused some cells in the area to move and ignite sedition, riots, and chaos, to weaken the people’s trust in the self-administration and the military and security forces, and as a result of these events and actions, and in order to preserve the security and stability of the area due to our duty to protect our people; the following is decided: our security and military forces will intervene directly against anyone who violates the laws and regulations and aims to destabilize the security of the area, imposing a 72-hour curfew starting from Thursday, 24/1/2019, all the people must abide by the issued instructions and cooperate with the security and military forces to impose security and stability in the area.”
