Islamic State prevents male obstetrics and gynecology specialists from practicing their profession

“The Office of Health- Medical Management” in the province of al- Khayr in the city of al- Mayadin distributed circular yesterday. It issued that “all obstetrics and gynecology male specialists are prevented to make female examination, pregnancy observation and normal delivary under any circumastance because there are female gynecologists and midwives, so there is no religious necessity.”

 

“It is allowded on in emergency cases to perform surgical operations and the male doctors are allowed to chance their specialty”, the circular added.

 

“This circular is considered as a written statement and that all those who break it they will be judged before the Islamic Court”, the circular ended.
