After executing 6 prisoners of ISIS in a town at the east bank of Euphrates, SDF arrest 3 of its fighters of Sh’aytat clan of who carried out the execution

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the Syria Democratic Forces arrested 3 of its fighters from Sh’aytat clan in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, where this arrest comes on the background of executing 6 prisoners of ISIS by fighters from Sh’aytat clan who are members of SDF, in Gharanij town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the afternoon of 11th of February 2019, where they were executed by gunshots, and then a few hours later SDF arrested 3 of the members who participated in the execution, and sources reported to the Syrian Observatory that the operation of capturing the 6 ISIS members was carried out through luring them to smuggle them to the outside of SDF areas by smugglers.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 19th of January 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring discontent in the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the resentment came from members of al-Sh’aytat tribe who are from the villages and towns of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the eastern bank of Euphrates River, against the background of claims by clan members from the Syria Democratic Forces to open the negotiating file with the “Islamic State” Organization, in order for them to know the fate of prisoners at the Organization, in particular the prisoners from the clan, and the of the Syrian Observatory monitored a demonstration of tens of members of al-Sh’aytat clan, where they raised banners addressed to the Syria Democratic Forces saying: “in 2014 we fought ISIS because it killed 2 of our sons, in 2019 we may fight you if your barbarism continues,” also they held banners read: “Free our captives, al-Sh’aytat” and “al-Sh’aytat between criminality of ISIS and the lies of the Kurds,” where these events come as some members of al-Sh’aytat clan are sharing the Syria Democratic Forces in the fight against the “Islamic State” Organization, during the military operation declared by the SDF with the Coalition on the 10th of September 2018, where the Syrian Observatory monitored hundreds of fighters and gunmen of al-Sh’aytat clan members; participating in the operations of repelling the attack of the Organization and its cells, and the attacks against the Organization in its last enclave, where al-Sh’aytat clan is considered the clan that suffered the greatest losses from the “Islamic State” Organization, where the Organization executed about 1000 of its young men and men in mass executions, and the Organization also said that according to the Sharia of the “Islamic State” Organization they are an infidel sect that must be described as infidels and must be fought as fighting the infidels according to the consensus of the scholars, even if it approved the law of that Sharia, it is not permissible for them to be given any edict, truce, or safety, and their prisoner shall not be released nor shall he be redeemed by money or men, and their slaughters shall not be eaten, nor shall their wives be taken as wives, and they may not be taken as slaves, and their prisoners may be killed, following them around to kill them is allowed, and finishing off their wounded is allowed, and they must be fought even if they do not fight us first.”

Also the “Islamic State” Organization had executed more than 716 detainees, of who were arrested on various charges including security members and members of the Organization who tried to break away of it and escape its controlled areas, and the executions were carried out inside headquarters and detention centers of the Organization, and within its former controlled areas, also the Organization intentionally transferred 350 to 400 detainees and abductees it has; through Euphrates River to its enclave in Homs and Deir Ezzor west of Euphrates River, in addition to releasing hundreds of others.

And between the detainees and those who were executed; their families still having the question about their fate, whether they were executed or released, and amid all these tragic events, reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the Organization buried the bodies of its victims in mass graves within its controlled areas.
