“As a democratic self-administration north and east of Syria, we are betting on the great role of Egypt because of its weight in the Arab world or in the middle east, in addition to its international weight, in playing a fundamental and important role in the Syrian-Syrian dialogue, and thus; to work for achieving the wanted national and democratic change, to build a new, democratic, decentralized Syria, as a common homeland for all the Syrians in order to preserve the unity of Syria and to stand up to threats of regional countries especially Turkey, which is trying and seeking in various ways, to occupy other parts of Syria and to regain its national charter, and to achieve its dream and ambition to get the Ottoman Sultanate back, so, Egypt can play a key role in resolving the crisis in Syria, and can work with the entire international community to pressure the Turkish regime to stop its threats to the area, and to withdraw from the areas which were previously occupied like Afrin, Jarabulus, and al-Bab.”

Omar also said:
“The East Euphrates area is a safe area and there is stability, and because it is this way; hundreds of thousands of Syrians from various other areas are now living in it, and we have not threatened Turkey and we have not opened fire towards it, quite the contrary, we have maintained the stability of the area, and when ISIS was next to Turkey in Tal Abyad, Azaz, and the rest of the areas, there were commercial exchange with it, and Turkey provided support and weapons, and the wounded ISIS fighters were healed in Turkish hospitals, and after liberating the area by the Syria Democratic Forces; Turkey targeted these areas, killed unarmed civilians within it, and threatens to occupy it, and we believe that Egypt can play a significant role by dealing with the international community to pressure Turkey to stop its threats against the east Euphrates area and we need someone to protect us from the Turkish threats because the area is safe, and if there must be a safe zone in order to stop the Turkish threats, then it must be by an international support and with international forces on the line zero between us and Turkey, and the relations between us and the Government of Egypt and the Egyptian people, and we seek to establish the best relations with Egypt, and to coordinate between us, due to the importance of Egypt and its role and large size in the area the world and it can play a very positive role, and that is what we have sought and seek in the past and the present, and we will continue it until the future, and the solution of the Syrian crisis is an Egyptian and Syrian interest.”
