Regime’s successive targeting of Khan Shaykhun raises to 26, the number of children and women out of 41 civilians killed in the escalation along with a forced displacement

Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored more ground shelling by the regime forces targeted Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the renewed shelling on the city killed a child and injured others with varying severity, raising to 41 civilians including 13 children and 13 women, the number of people killed in the ground shelling since 9th of February 2019, in the shelling that targeted Khan Shaykhun city, where massacres are being carried out claiming the lives of more citizens amid the world’s ignore to this tragedy and the killing operations in the city which previously witnessed a massacre by gas which left hundreds of people dead and wounded, also raising to 309 at least, the number of people who were killed since Erdogan – Putin agreement, 137 civilians including 55 children and 26 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, among them 6 were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 76 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 14 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 86 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that local sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the massive shelling has pushed former displaced people in Khan Shaykhun city from the countryside of Hama, to displace again, where the city is considered as a center for the displaced people, who are mostly coming from the areas that became under the control of the regime forces during the military operations in the recent years, where since the 9th of February until the 25th of the same month in 2019; Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib has been under constant shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, which killed and injured tens of civilians, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the ground shelling -in addition to the casualties- had displaced people to other areas of Idlib countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received confirmed information that the shelling on the neighborhoods of Khan Shaykhun was concentrated on the them sequentially, where the intensive shelling at the beginning was concentrated on the northern and eastern neighborhoods, and caused a complete displacement of residents of both neighborhoods, except for some young men who remained to guard the houses in both neighborhoods, followed by shelling targeted the western and southern neighborhoods from which a large number of residents were displaced, where more than 21000 people have displaced fleeing the rocket and artillery shelling that targeted the city.
