The regime forces continue their escalation within the Russian – Turkish truce areas increasing the death toll to about 145 civilians including 85 children and women since Putin – Erdogan agreement

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored renewed the shelling by the regime forces on the morning of the 26th of February, targeting places in Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib, which killed 2 women and injured other people, raising the number of casualties to 42 including 12 children and 15 women, the number of people killed in Khan Shaykhun since the 9th of February 2019 due to the shelling that targeted the city, raising in turn, to 327 at least, the number of people who were killed since Erdogan – Putin agreement, 144 civilians including 55 children and 29 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, among them 6 citizens including a child, who were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 76 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 14 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 97 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that a forged presidential agreement and a truce that brought only killing and destruction, and stripped the guarantors of their agreements and the promises they made about ensuring the safety and peace, where since the 9th of February until the 25th of the same month in 2019; Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib has been under constant shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, which killed and injured tens of civilians, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the ground shelling -in addition to the casualties- had displaced people to other areas of Idlib countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received confirmed information that the shelling on the neighborhoods of Khan Shaykhun was concentrated on the them sequentially, where the intensive shelling at the beginning was concentrated on the northern and eastern neighborhoods, and caused a complete displacement of residents of both neighborhoods, except for some young men who remained to guard the houses in both neighborhoods, followed by shelling targeted the western and southern neighborhoods from which a large number of residents were displaced, where more than 21000 people have displaced fleeing the rocket and artillery shelling that targeted the city.

Also, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that killing continues as the guarantors’ keep leaving their responsibilities, which they promised to carry out to the people of the Russian – Turkish truce areas and areas of Putin – Erdogan agreement, where the Syrian Observatory monitored shelling by the regime forces targeted areas in Kafr Zita town in the northern countryside of Hama, in conjunction with targeting using heavy machineguns by warplanes for Saraqib area in the eastern countryside of Idlib, also the regime forces targeted areas in the villages of Hawash, Hawijah, Shahranaz, and al-Sharia in the northwestern countryside of Hama, while the factions targeted Shizer area and other areas in al-Suqaylabiyah, which are controlled by the regime forces in Hama countryside, where THE shelling of the regime forces on Monday, the 25th of February 2019, killed 10 civilians including 5 children and a woman in the shelling that targeted Kafr Zeta north of Hama, al-Hbit, Khan al-Sobol, and Khan Shaykhun south and east of Idlib, Jubb Suleiman in Jabal Shashabo and Zayzoun in Sahl al-Ghab, also the shelling caused wounded large number of people, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and the Syrian Observatory documented the death of two people including a child, in the targeting in Hama countryside.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that areas win al-Hbit town in southern countryside of Idlib and other areas in al-Tamanah town in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, and other areas in the towns of Khan al-Sabeel and Saraqib in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and al-Lataminah town in the northern countryside of Hama were shelled by the regime forces, in conjunction with renewed targeting by the warplanes using heavy machineguns’ fire on areas in the towns and villages of al-Tamanah, al-Khwyn, Sukayk, Om al Khalakhil, and al-Zarzour in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, and the Qal’aat al-Madiq on the administrative border between Hama and Idlib, and areas in Kafr Nabudah town of the northeastern countryside of Hama, which killed 3 citizens including 2 children in al-Hbit town and injured others, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of a child from Muhradah city in the western countryside of Hama.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday morning that ground shelling continues to escalate at a violent pace, targeting on daily basis areas of the Russian – Turkish truce in the 4 provinces where the truce takes place, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored continuous shelling within the demilitarized area and the Russian – Turkish truce areas, where the regime forces targeted on Monday morning the town of Kafr Zita in the northern countryside of Hama, and al-Ferja village in the eastern countryside of Idlib.
