Ground shelling by the regime forces target 6 cities and towns in countryside of Idlib and Hama in a new episode of the escalation series in the area
The Syrian Observatory for Human rights monitored intensive and continuous shelling by the regime forces after midnight of yesterday within the Russian – Turkish truce areas, where they intensively shelled places in Khan Shaykhun, al-Tah, and al-Tamanah in the southern countryside of Idlib, and Kafr Zita and al-Lataminah in the northern sector of Hama countryside, while the regime forces renewed the shelling this morning, targeting the demilitarized area, where they targeted places in Morek town in the northern countryside of Hama, but no information about casualties, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday evening that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored shelling by the regime forces on the areas of the Russian – Turkish truce, as a part of the continued violations in the area, where the SOHR monitored shelling by tens of shells by the regime forces which targeted places in Sukayk area in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, in addition to areas in Al-Ankawi in Sahl Al-Ghab and areas in the outskirts of Murak town and its vicinity as well as Al-Sakhr village, in the northern sector of Hama countryside, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago, that the regime forces renew their violations in the Russian – Turkish truce in the 4 provinces and areas of the Putin – Erdogan demilitarized agreement, where tens of missiles targeted villages and towns of al-Hwair, al-Eis, Jazraya, and Zammar in the southern sector of Aleppo countryside, followed by targeting by the factions located in the area for regime forces’ locations and controlled areas in al-Hadir area, and the Syrian Observatory monitored shelling by the regime forces targeted areas in al-Lataminah town in the northern countryside of Hama within the demilitarized area, and Khan Shaykhun city in southern countryside of Idlib, and the abandoned battalion area in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, which caused material damage, also areas in Saraqib town and the outskirts of Ras al-Ain village in the eastern countryside of Idlib were shelled by the regime forces, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that violations continue in areas of the Russian – Turkish truce in Aleppo, Hama, Idlib, Latakia provinces and in Putin – Erdogan demilitarized areas, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored shelling by the regime forces targeted areas on the outskirts of al-Hwaiz village in Sahl al-Ghab at the northwestern countryside of Hama, accompanied by artillery shelling by the regime forces on areas in the villages of Hwair al-Eis and Tal Bajer in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and in the same context, areas in al-Khwyn town and the villages of Zarzour and al-Ferja in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, were shelled by the regime forces, which caused material damage, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the regime forces targeted areas in Morek town in the northern countryside of Hama within the demilitarized area, in conjunction with artillery shelling by the regime forces targeted places in Jabal al-Turkman in the northeastern countryside of Latakia, but no information about casualties, this came after the cautious calm that the Syrian Observatory observed until this morning since after midnight of yesterday, all over areas of the Russian – Turkish truce within the four provinces, interrupted by the fall of shells launched by the regime forces after midnight on al-Sakhr village in the northern sector of Hama countryside, and the areas of al-Rashedin and the Scientific Research in the western suburbs of Aleppo, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the deaths of 2 members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham during shelling and targeting by the regime forces in areas at Jabal al-Turkman and roads leading to Jisr al-Shughur yesterday Sunday, raising to 363 the number of people who were killed since Erdogan – Putin agreement, 152 civilians including 59 children and 29 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, among them 6 citizens including a child, who were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 86 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 21 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 125 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that regime forces are continuing their ground shelling targeting the demilitarized zone amid their continued violations to the Russian – Turkish truce, where the SOHR monitored today evening, Sunday, heavy and violent rocket shelling by the regime forces on places in Al-Tah, Kafr Zita and Murak in the northern sector of Hama countryside, Bab al-Taqa, Twinah and Qalaat al-Madiq in Sahl al-Ghab in the north-western country of Hama, Khan Shaykhun, Al-Taman’aa and Horsh Abdin in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, in addition to Al-Khwaiyn and the Abandoned Battalion area in both eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, and Al-Huwayr area in the southern countryside of Aleppo, where Khan Shaykhun, and Murak had the largest share of this evening’s shelling, and the SOHR published hours ago, that it monitored more violations which targeted places in the areas of the Russian – Turkish truce, where the shelling targeted areas in the outskirts of Jisr Al-Shughur city in the western countryside of Idlib city, the regime forces also targeted areas in the villages of Al-Khwaiyn and Al-Tah in both southern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, while places in the areas of Murak, Kafr Zita and the outskirts of Al-Jisat village in the northern countryside of Hama, were shelled by the regime forces by rocket and artillery shells, in conjunction with renewed ground shelling on Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib province, while areas in the villages and towns of Zayzun, Al-Huwayz, Sharia, Al-Hamra, Jesr Bayt al-Ras and Bab al-Taqa in the north-western of Hama countryside, were also shelled, in addition to the shelling which targeted areas in Qalaat al-Madiq town on the administrative border between Hama and Idlib, while the regime forces shelled areas in Zammar and Jazraya villages in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and the SOHR published hours ago, that only few hours of calm witnessed in Idlib and the areas of the Russian – Turkish truce, this sudden calm which prevailed the area hours after the “suicidal” attack by Ansar al-Tawhid organization on positions of the regime forces, the gunmen loyal to them and their allies in Masasneh area within the demilitarized zone in the northern sector of Hama countryside, was interrupted by heavy shelling by the regime forces monitored by the Syrian observatory for Human Rights, on areas in Khan Shaykhun city which witnessed the displacement of more than 32,000 of its residents and inhabitants since the 9th of February 2019, the date of starting the ground escalation over the city which also coincided with aerial escalation, and the SOHR learned that the regime forces targeted areas in the city by more than 20 shells, causing further destruction and material damage to the property of the citizens, but no information about casualties was reported so far, and the Syrian Observatory have documented the death of 48 citizens including 15 children and 15 women, who have been killed in Khan Shaykhun since the 9th of February 2019, as a result of the shelling and bombardment which targeted the city, including 3 children who were killed in the warplanes’ raids on the city, and the SOHR monitored hours ago, cautious calm prevailing the areas of the truce between the Russians and the Turks in the 4 provinces and of Putin – Erdogan demilitarized zone, where the Syrian Observatory monitored that the ground shelling by both conflicting parties has been stopped since today’s afternoon, Sunday the 3rd of March 2019, amid cautious anticipation for the developments of the situations in the incoming hours, where a state of worry is prevailing of escalating the ground shelling after the heavy ground targeting in the past 2 weeks, since the trio agreement between Russian, Turkey and Iran.
