Russia exploits the world’s preoccupation with victory over the ISIS in Baghuz and east Euphrates and carries out intensive raids on Idlib, killing and wounding more than 40 civilians and fighters in the last 24 hours

The regime have not stopped the shelling in the 4 provinces in which the Russian – Turkish truce has been in force since the 15th of August 2018, and in areas of Putin – Erdogan demilitarized agreement which has been in place since the 17th of September 2019, where the regime forces are shelling the areas which are beyond its control, that is controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al- Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions in Idlib, Hama, Latakia, and Aleppo, until the Russian escalation began; turning around all the assurances it had previously provided to ease the escalation, amid Turkish silence at the same time about this escalation, where Turkey has enough with sending military columns carrying troops, materiel, and military equipment and logistic, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during the last 24 hours that the Russian warplanes began an escalation operation targeting Idlib province and its surroundings, where the Syrian Observatory monitored these warplanes carrying out raids on Khan Shaykhun city in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, and areas in the towns of Kafriya and al-Fu’ah in the eastern sector of Idlib countryside, which were previously inhabited by Shiite citizens who were evacuated from the area, they also targeted the outskirts of Sarmin, Ma’arrat Mesrin, the outskirts of Sehyan in the southern of Idlib, killing 15 people including 4 children, 2 women, and 3 fighters of the Turkestani Islamic Party, they were killed in this aerial bombardment including 3 unidentified people, and more than 25 others were injured, some of them in dangerous situations.

And with the fall of more casualties it rose to 494, the number of people who were killed since Erdogan – Putin agreement, 230 civilians including 85 children and 46 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, among them 11 citizens including 3 children, who were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 9 persons whose identity is not known so far whether they were civilians or fighters; of who were killed in bombardment by warplanes on Idlib Central Prison, 3 unidentified persons who were killed in the bombardment on Kafriya and 107 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 30 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 145 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that areas of the Russian – Turkish truce and the disarmed areas of Putin – Erdogan are witnessing renewed ground shelling by the regime forces, in the continuation of exchange of targeting between both parties of the conflict in these areas, where the regime forces targeted areas in the towns of Morek and Kafr Zita in the northern sector of Hama within the demilitarized area, Mashik village in Sahl al-Ghab at the northwestern countryside of Hama, areas in the vicinity of Khan Shaykhun city, al-Tamanah Town, and Tal Tar’ei village in the southern countryside of Idlib, in conjunction with targeting by the National Front suing the fire of their snipers for members of the regime forces in the vicinity of Qal’aat al-Madiq in the northwestern countryside of Hama, accompanied by the flight of reconnaissance drones in the skies of the area, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of a child affected by injuries she had in bombardment by warplanes earlier on areas in the vicinity of Kafr Amim in the eastern countryside of Idlib.
