The Syrian Observatory published on the 8th of November 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from intersected sources, who confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that 3 of al-Suwaidaa abductees (2 children and a woman) died before the abductees were handed over to the Syrian regime in the eastern desert of al-Sokhna, where the body of the woman is still missing but the bodies of both children were brought, raising to 6 people (2 children, a boy and 3 citizen women), the number of abductees who died and executed by the “Islamic State” Organization and during the detention period, which began on the 25th of July 2018. Reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that the discontent is mixed with happiness of al-Suwaidaa people for the return of abductees, and this resentment comes against the backdrop of the death of the 6 abductees; amid regime’s carelessness and its attempt to promote a “victory” by promoting that a military operation released the kidnapped people, at a time where the people are questioning the ways in which the kidnapped people were transported for hundreds of kilometers across the desert; while Tlul al-Safa area is still besieged by the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities.
