The remnants of the Syrian war kill about 10 persons in the controlled areas of the regime forces north of Aleppo within the increased number of human losses due to the explosion of landmines and remnants of military operations

The remnants of the war on Syria’s territory are still killing and wounding more people, within the controlled areas of the regime forces, the controlled areas of the factions and the controlled areas of the Syria Democratic Forces, and in every time, they leave more human losses, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of about 10 persons after they had been injured in the area of Tal Jabin in the northern countryside of Aleppo, which is controlled by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, due to the explosion of mines of the remnants of the military operations in the area, the Syrian Observatory also monitored the explosion of a landmine in the vicinity of Al-Raqqah city which killed a child, north of Al-Raqqah city, where the “Islamic State” organization planted it previously, while the SOHR monitored the death of 3 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in the explosion of landmines in them in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the SOHR monitored in the past 48 hours, the explosion of a landmine in Hajin area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which killed  a young man and injured a child with severe wounds that led to having his leg amputated, while a man and his pregnant wife were killed with 2 of their sons as a result of the explosion of a landmine in al-Tawwamiyyah village in Deir Ezzor countryside, the explosion also resulted in the injury of a woman from the same family.

The Syrian Observatory published days ago, that it has documented between the 24th of February 2019, until today the 17th of March 2019, the death of 44 persons including 37 women and 5 children, who were killed in explosions of mines and IEDs of the organization’s remnants in separated areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama and Deir Ezzor, and among the total death toll, the SOHR has documented in less than a week, the death of 24 persons including 19 women and 3 children while searching for and collecting the truffle plant, which grows in the areas that witness heavy rainfall and it is sold at very high prices, the mines and IEDs have also left tens of injuries with varying severity since late February, mostly women, where some of them had to have their limbs amputated, some suffered from medium injuries and some others had inconsiderable injuries, the SOHR published hours ago, that it monitored more human losses as a result of the explosion of landmines planted in the western sector of Deir Ezzor countryside, where it rose to 16 including 14 women at least, the number of casualties who were killed due to the explosion which took place near Al-Huraibisha town within the area between Al-Shmaytiyyeh and Al-Kharita, while more than 32 others have been injured with varying severity including 26 women, and the SOHR published hours ago, that the remnants of the Syrian war still inflict more human losses on the Syrian territory, where reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that the explosion of landmines planted previously in the area between Al-Shmaytiyyeh and Al-Kharita in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, resulted in the killing of 13 persons at least as well as the injury of about 20 others, where the reliable sources confirmed that the explosion took place near Al-Huraibisha town, while the people in the vehicle were coming back after collecting truffles from the area’s Desert, while the Syrian Observatory published on the 10th of March 2019, that it monitored the explosion of more remnants of previous military operations, particularly within areas which used to be controlled by the “Islamic State” Organization, where it planted thousands of mines that had not yet been swept by the regime forces and their allies, who control the area and opened roads for their military vehicles without caring for the lives of civilians, who have been driven by poor living conditions to search within the desert areas for the truffle plant, which grows in the areas that witness heavy rainfall and it is sold at very high prices, the thing which caused more casualties, and the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 8 citizens including 3 children and 5 women, in addition to the injury of more than 10 others with varying severity, as a result of the explosion of mines in al-Ark area of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs, raising to 28 including 3 children and 23 women the number of people killed in mine explosions in areas of Wadi al-Azeeb, al-Sa’en, and Palmyra Desert, in a continuation of mine explosion since the 24th of February 2019, in 2 weeks of similar incidents.
