Al-Assad explosive barrels kill and wound no less than 1600 in Feb/2015

SOHR could document 1009  air raids carried out by the regime helicopters and air crafts targeting several places in 12 provinces in Syria out of 14 provinces, since the beginning of Feb/2015.

The helicopters dropped more than 537  explosive barrels on areas in the cities, towns and villages of the provinces of Rif Dimashq, Idlib, Homs, Quneitra, Hasakah,  Daraa, Aleppo, Lattakia and Hama.

  While the aircrafts carried out 472  raids at least on places in Rif Dimashq, Aleppo,Der-Ezzor, Idlib, Homs, Raqqa, Damasucs, Lattakia, Hama and Daraa

The raids and barrel bombs have left death of 270  civilians, including 49 children and 48 women ( including 146 civilian “26 children and 26 women” killed by aerial bombardment on ( Duma, Kafar Batna, Saqba, EIn Terma, and Arbin ), while 1200 others were wounded, some of them in critical situation. In addition to, the aerial bombardment caused material damages in people’s properties .

 120 fighters from ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra, Rebel and Islamic battalions, were killed by regime air strikes on areas around Syria.

We are in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, were not surprised by the denial of the Syrian regime’s President Bashar al-Assad, to use its air force, explosive barrels, targeting the sons of the Syrian people since 30 months, because the murder continues his crimes when he knows that there is no judge and trial for his crimes, and because of the failure of the UN security council to issues a  Cease-fire agreement in Syria or refers al-Assad war crimes into International Criminal Court. 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights promises the Syrian people  to work harder in order to stop the war crimes and crimes against humanity, committed daily against the Syrian people, and to refer the file of these crimes to international Criminal Court, or establishing a special courts in Syria.
