Few days after the killing of about 15 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them…violent clashes erupt between the organization against the regime forces south of Deir Ezzor and warplanes target the clash areas

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes today, Tuesday the 16th of April2019, between members of the “Islamic State” organization, against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in areas in the desert of Huraybisheh and Sholah south of Deir Ezzor city, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that warplanes are flying over the area along with targeting positions of the organization in the area, where the warplanes are believed to be Russian,  while no information about human losses was reported yet, and the SOHR published on the 14th of April 2019, that it documented the killing of at least 14 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the last 48 hours in the Deir Ezzor Desert, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 4 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in the southeastern desert of Deir Ezzor, in an ambush by cells of the “Islamic State” in the area, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of 10 other members of al-Quds al-Filastini Brigade loyal to the regime forces, during clashes against ISIS members in the southern Desert al-Mayadin, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 20th of February 2019 that at the time when the presence of the “Islamic State” Organization ended as a dominant force on a geographical spot on the east banks of Euphrates River; thousands of members are still spread over an area of about 4000 km² stretching from the nature reserve of Jabal Abu Rjameen north of Palmyra which includes trees within it, until the north of al-Sokhna and the western administrative border of Deir Ezzor province, these thousands of members are still trapped since 2017 by the regime forces, the Russian forces, and the Iranian forces there, without any military operation to eliminate them despite being surrounded, on the contrary; members of the Organization there are initiating occasional surprise attacks against sites of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them and Russia, where the Syrian Observatory published on the 14th of February 2019 that a violent explosion was heard in the eastern desert of Homs, it turned out that it was caused by an explosion near Owayrid Dam area, which injured 2 members of the regime forces, and it is believed that the Organization targeted them by planting mines in areas where the regime forces and their allies pass in the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 10th of February 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored targeting operations against the pro-regime people in the Syrian desert, near to the largest remaining enclave of the “Islamic State” Organization inside the Syrian territory, which is about 4000 km², where the Syrian Observatory monitoring targeting a car carrying members of the reconciliation committees and members of the regime’s NDF, where intersected sources confirmed that the targeting process was carried out by the “Islamic State” Organization, which exist strongly and in large numbers in the largest remaining pocket west of Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the targeting that took place in the last 24 hours caused the killing of 3 NDF members and injured others with varying severity, including one of the officials of the “reconciliation” file in al-Sukhnah area, while the targeting took place near al-Qlea’ area in northern desert of al-Sokhna.
