Over 16,000 Syrian refugees leave Jordan

As many as 16,700 Syrian refugees have so far left Jordan and returned to Syria, a war monitor reported on Saturday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that those refugees returned home voluntarily.

The Syrian refugees started returning in batches from Jordan since last October when the Nasib crossing between the two countries reopened.

It’s estimated that 1.4 million Syrian refugees are located in Jordan, according to Jordanian report.
