The most violent day ever since the Russian – Turkish agreement was struck, ends with 224 airstrikes and 366 rocket and artillery shells

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the most violent escalation ever in its 3rd consecutive day within the areas of the Russian – Turkish truce, where the helicopters and warplanes are still continuing to carry out their airstrikes on areas in both Hama and Idlib countryside, in conjunction with heavy shelling by the regime forces by missiles and artillery and rocket shells, where the helicopters dropped more explosive barrels raising to 171, the number of barrels dropped by helicopters since morning until before the midnight of today, Thursday the 2nd of May 2019, where they were distributed as follows: 27 on Kafrenbudeh and its vicinity, 20 on al-Hbit and its outskirts, 12 on Kafr Nubl, 12 on Ihsim, 11 on al-Qassabiyyeh, 9 on Tremla, 8 on Abdita, 7 on the outskirts of Sheikh Mustafa, 6 on Bsaqla and its outskirts, 6 on Hazarin town, 5 on Rakaya, 4 on Kafr Oweid and its outskirts, 4 on the outskirts of Naqir, 4 on the northern and southern outskirts of Hass, 4 on Mughr al-Hamam, 4 on the outskirts of Tal Hawash, 3 on Abdeen and its vicinity, 3 on Oraynabah, 2 barrels on each for Kura, Baarbu, Iblin, Mashoun, Al-Huwayz, Hawija, al-Faqea’, the vicinity of Maaret Herma, the outskirts of Kafr Sajnah and the vicinity of Kafr Zita town.

And with regard to the bombardment by warplanes, the Russian warplanes carried out 2 raids on areas in Al-Hawash village in Sahl Al-Ghab and 2 other raids on Bab Al-Taqah village, raising to at least 46, the number of Russian strikes which targeted Sahl Al-Ghab, Jabal Shashabo, and both southern countryside of Idlib and northern countryside of Hama, they are: 8 on Al-Huwayz, 5 on Maaret Herma and its outskirts, 4 on the outskirts of Kansafra leaving a man, his wife and 2 of their children dead, 4 raids on the outskirts of Naqir, 3 on the outskirts of Al-Barah and Horsh Hass, 2 raids on each for Al-Ankawi, Halloubah, Kafr Nabudah, Abdeen, al-Qassabiyyeh, Baarbu, Kafr Oweid, Karsaa, Kafr Nubl, Al-Huwayz and Bab Al-Taqah, in addition to 7 raids by the regime’s warplanes 5 of which targeted places in al-Qassabiyyeh village and its outskirts, a raid on al-Sahriyya and another raid on Tal Hawash, in the same context, the warplanes opened fire of their heavy machinegun, on areas in the towns of Kafr Nubl, Kafr Oweid, Kafr Sajnah, Hazarin and Hass in the southern countryside of Idlib, and Tal Hawash in the northern countryside of Hama.

The regime forces also targeted by 2 heavy missiles, areas in the outskirts of Kansafra and Kafr Nubl towns, in the south-western countryside of Idlib, while areas in Qalaat Al-Madiq town, Al-Kirkat and Al-Duqmaq in the north-western countryside of Hama and other areas in Al-Latminah town in the northern countryside of Hama, were subjected to intensive artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces, raising to 366, the number of rocket and artillery shells of which the town of Al-Hbit had the largest share, where the regime forces targeted the town by 110 rocket shells followed by 76 other shells on Qalaat Al-Madiq town, 50 shells on each for Al-Ankawi and Kafr Zita, 40 on Kafr Hamra and Haritan towns, 2 heavy missiles on Kansafra and Kafr Nubl, and 38 on Al-Mshirfah, Al-Huwayz, Al-Lataminah, Hawija, Al-Kirkat and Al-Duqmaq.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 12th day, to 185 persons in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 2nd of May 2019, they are 68 civilians including 14 children and 16 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 4 civilians casualty was killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 28 of the jihadi groups were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 70 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 2nd of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 552 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 305 civilians including 85 children under the age of eighteen and 73 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 28 people including 6 children under the age of eighteen and 5 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 88 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 54 fighters of the “jihadis” and 159 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 781 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 385 civilians including 117 children and 85 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 31 people including 6 children and 5 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 155 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 68 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 241 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
