More than 226 airstrikes end the 5th day of the most violent aerial escalation ever on the areas of the Russian – Turkish truce

The aerial and ground escalation is still continuing in its 5th day on both Hama and Idlib countryside, where the warplanes and helicopters are continuing their violent and heavy bombardment in conjunction with the continued ground shelling by the regime forces, and with reference to the helicopters’ bombardment; the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the dropping of more explosive barrels on areas in Maarat Hermeh, Maarat Al-Sain and Kafr Nabudah, raising the number of explosive barrels that have been dropped since morning by helicopter on areas in both Hama and Idlib countryside to 83, they are: 7 on the outskirts of Ihsim, 7 on Tremla, 7 on Kafr Owaid, 6 on Kafr Nabudah, 6 on Deir Senbol, 6 on Om al-Sir, 5 on Qasabiyeh, 4 on Abdita, 4 on Sheikh Mustafa, 6 on Ma’aratahrama, 3 on each of Sfohen, Bsames, Karsaa, the vicinity of Kansafra, Maarzita and Hass, and 2 on each of Horsh Abdeen, Maarat Al-Sain, al-Janabera, Tal Osman and al-Mestriha, while the regime forces targeted areas in Al-Hbit town, Horsh Abdeen and Ma’aratahrama village in the southern countryside of Idlib by tens of missiles.

In the same context, Sukhoi aircraft carried out 2 raids on areas in Al-Hawash village in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama, raising to 50, the number of raids carried out by Sukhoi aircraft since today’s afternoon and until now, they are: 6 raids by high-explosive missiles on places in Al-Hawash village in Sahl Al-Ghab, 6 raids on Al-Huwayz, 6 on Kafr Nabudah, 6 on Kansafra and its vicinity, 4 on Maarzita and its outskirts, 3 raids at least by 2 missiles each, on each for Al-Mozra, Horh Kafr Nubl, the outskirts of Bara, the outskirts of Ihsim, al-Ftirah and Hassanah, and 2 raids on each for the outskirts of Al-Hbit and Al-Hawash, while the regime’s MiG aircraft have carried out 26 raids since morning, they are: 11 on Kafr Nabudah, 4 on Ma’aratahrama, 3 on Al-Hbit, and 2 on each for Khan Shaykhun, Hawija, Maarzita and Tremla.

It also rose to 67, the number of raids by the Russian warplanes since morning on Hama, Idlib and Aleppo countryside, they are: 6 raids at least on places in the outskirts and vicinity of Saraqeb town east of Idlib at Aleppo – Latakia International Highway, 9 raids on Hass town, 4 on the outskirts of Kafr Nubl, 3 on Al-Amqiyyah in Sahl al-Ghab, 3 on Kafr Nabudah, 6 on Al-Rakaya, 3 on the outskirts of Kansafra, 3 on Ihsim, and 2 raids on each for al-Janudiyyeh and Tal al-Nar south of Kafrsajna, Kafr Owaid, Arnabah, Muhambal, Ma’aratahrama, Tal Mardikh, Tal al-Nabi Ayoub area, Karsaa, outskirts of Hazarin, Al-Lajj and the Power Plant in Hama countryside, in addition to Khan al-Asal, and Kafrnaha in the western countryside of Aleppo, also the warplanes opened their heavy machineguns on areas in Ma’aratahrama town and Horsh Abdeen in the southern countryside of Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory documented more casualties against the backdrop of the escalated operations of aerial and ground shelling, where it rose to 10, the number of people who were killed in the today’s bombardment on both Hama and Idlib countryside, they are: 2 children who were killed in the Russian bombardment on Muhambal, a citizen woman in the helicopters’ bombardment on Sfohen, a aman and a citizen woman in the regime forces’ shelling on Al-Hbit south of Idlib, a citizen woman in the ground shelling on Tawba village north of Hama, a man in the bombardment of Sukhoi aircraft on Hassanah village, a volunteer in the rescue teams in the bombardment of Sukhoi aircraft on Al-Rakaya, a child girl in missiles by Sukhoi aircraft on al-Ftirah, and a man in bombardment of the regime’s warplanes on areas in Ma’aratahrama town in the southern countryside of Idlib.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 73, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin-Erdogan agreement, and they are: 44 civilians including 5 children and 12 citizen women, where 12 of them including 3 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 15 including 5 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 8 including a woman, a girl and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 10 people including 3 women were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, while at least 13 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, 3 members of the factions were killed in clashes against the regime forces, in addition to the killing of 12 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 13th day, to 227 persons in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 3rd of May 2019, they are 94 civilians including 18 children and 22 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 4 civilians casualty was killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 33 of the jihadi groups were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 3 of the factions were killed during clashes against the regime force, and 78 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 5th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 602 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 331 civilians including 86 children under the age of eighteen and 80 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 28 people including 6 children under the age of eighteen and 5 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 104 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 67 fighters of the “jihadis” and 167 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 832 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 412 civilians including 121 children and 92 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 31 people including 6 children and 5 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 171 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 81 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 249 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
