The Air raids and barrel bombs force more than 300000 civilians to displace in 6 days

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the displacement of about 300 thousand people from areas in Hama and Idlib countryside; within 6 days of the escalation in areas of the “Russian – Turkish” truce, as a result of the intense aerial and ground bombardment and shelling by the Russians and the regime, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: area in Sahl al-Ghab and villages and towns in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama; the most important of which is Qal’aat al-Madiq and Kafr Nabudah, have witnessed a large displacement of civilians, in addition to the areas of Kansafra, Belyon, Kafr Owaid and the villages of Ihsim Township in Jabal al-Zawiyah, and areas in the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib province, and the displaced people took shelter in the camps adjacent to Iskenderun, and in areas controlled by “Euphrates Shield” and “Olive Branch” operations in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on the first day of the most violent escalation, documented 84 barrel bombs, 12 raids by regime’s warplanes, and 11 raids by Russian warplanes, which killed a citizen man and a citizen woman.

On the second day of the heaviest escalation, the Observatory documented 105 barrel bombs, 6 raids by regime’s warplanes, and 15 raids by Russian warplanes which killed 9 civilians including 3 women.

On the 3rd day of the heaviest escalation, the Observatory documented 171 barrel bomb, 46 raids by Russian warplanes, 7 raids by regime’s warplanes which killed 8 citizens including a woman and two of her children.

On the 4th day of escalation, the Observatory documented 164 barrel bombs, 57 raids by Russian warplanes, and 19 raids by regime warplanes which killed 16 civilian citizens including 5 women and a child.

On the 5th day of the heaviest escalation, the Observatory documented 83 barrel bombs, 50 airstrikes by the Sukhoi warplanes, 67 raids by the Russian warplanes, and 26 raids by regime’s warplanes which killed 11 citizens including 3 women and 3 female children.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 74, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin-Erdogan agreement, and they are: 44 civilians including 5 children and 12 citizen women, where 12 of them including 2 children and 3 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 15 including 5 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 8 including a woman, a child, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 10 people including 3 women were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, while at least 14 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 12 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 14th day, to 228 persons in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 4th of May 2019.
