After shelling with hundreds of ground and air strikes, the regime forces advance in the strategic city of Kafr Nabudah and close the road between Khan Shaykhun and Qal’aat al-Madiq

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes in areas in the northern countryside of Hama, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir and the factions, after a wide and violent attack carried out by the regime forces with intense air and ground cover on Kafr Nabudah city and al-Sakhr town north of Hama, where regime’s warplanes are participating in the attack through intensive strikes targeting the area, amid violent shelling by the regime’s artillery, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the regime forces managed to advance in the area and controlled parts of Kafr Nabudah from the western areas, starting from their positions in al-Bana, while the regime forces are desperately fighting to control the city due to its strategic importance; where it closes the road between Qal’aat al-Madiq of Sahl al-Ghab and Khan Shaykhun south of Idlib, as well as closing several routes between Sahl al-Ghab, Idlib countryside, and Jabal Shashabo.

In the same context, regime’s helicopter dropped 6 barrel bombs targeting places in Kabana area in Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, and 3 on the outskirts of al-Tamanah town in the southern countryside of Idlib, and 3 on al-Hbit town, in conjunction with air raids by regime warplanes (Sukhoi and Mig) on places in Kabana at Jabal al-Akrad and al-Hbit south of Idlib, in addition to Shannan village in Jabal al-Zawiyah and the Syrian Observatory published this morning that the most violent escalation at all starts its ninth day within the “de-escalation” area with a continuation of the intense aerial and ground bombardment, where regime’s warplanes carried out several raids targeting Kafr Nabudah town in the northern countryside of Hama, while the Russian warplanes continued their bombardment operations after midnight of yesterday, where they carried out 2 raids on each of Maarzita, al-Rakaya, the vicinity of Kafrsajna, al-Lataminah, al-Sakhr, Abdeen, outskirts of Tal Sheikh, Abu Jabba, the surroundings of Khan Shaykhun, Tahtaya, and al-Hawash, while the Syrian Observatory monitored targeting by the regime forces by more than 75 shells and missiles for areas in Kafrenbudeh town, and by about 40 shells and missiles for areas in al-Sakhr town since after midnight of yesterday, also the regime forces shelled places in KafrZitta north of Hama.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory for human Rights documented the death of 16 citizens including 5 women and a child due to the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment in its 8th day within the “de-escalation” area, they are: 4 including at least 2 women and one child were killed in raids by regime’s warplanes on Ras al-Ain village in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and a civilian was killed in bombing by the regime’s warplanes on Ma’aret Hurmah town in the southern countryside of Idlib, a man and his wife who were killed in bombardment by Russian on Kafr Zita town in the northern countryside of Hama, a citizen in Kafr Mus in Jabal Shashabo due to the helicopters’ bombardment on the village, and a woman was killed in rocket shelling by the regime forces on al-Zakat village north of Hama, a citizen woman in helicopters’ bombardment by barrel bombs on areas in Kansafra town, and a citizen in the helicopters’ bombardment on areas in the outskirts of Al-Hbit, and a citizen was killed in the Russian aerial bombardment on Dier Senbol, a citizen was killed in shelling by the Russian warplanes on Marj al-Zohour in the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur, also killed two citizens in bombardment by regime’s warplanes on Martmater, another citizen was killed in targeting by regime’s warplane for the outskirts of al-Bara, the Observatory also documented the death of 12 fighters, among them 8 fighters were killed in mine explosion after midnight of yesterday during clashes in al-Bana area and Tal Othman north of Hama, and 3 others who were killed in clashes against the regime forces in the area of Tallat Abu Ass’ad in the north-eastern countryside of Latakia, and a fighter in clashes against the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, in addition to the death of 14 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them including 9 members who were killed in clashes against the National Liberation Front in the area of Tallat Abu Ass’ad in the north-eastern countryside of Latakia, and 4 other members who were killed in clashes against Tahrir al-Sham in Kabana area in Jabal al-Akrad.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 188, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin-Erdogan agreement, and they are: 85 civilians including 12 children and 25 citizen women, where 29 of them including 5 female children and 8 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 19 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 24 including 5 women, 4 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 12 people including 4 women were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and a civilian was killed in shelling by the factions of al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 54 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 49 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 17th day, to 340 persons in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 7th of May 2019, they are 134 civilians including 25 children and 34 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 5 civilians casualties were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 72 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 115 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 8th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 716 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 372 civilians including 95 children under the age of eighteen and 92 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 29 people including 6 children under the age of eighteen and 5 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 140 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 81 fighters of the “jihadis” and 204 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 946 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 453 civilians including 127 children and 104 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 32 people including 6 children and 5 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 207 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 96 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 286 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
