Taking advantage of the displacement of its people due to military operations; locusts of “the motherland Army” loots the areas it controlled in Hama countryside, and tens of land air strikes target al-Hbit and Qassabiyyeh south of Idlib

The helicopters dropped barrel bombs this morning on al-Hbit town in the southern countryside of Idlib, in conjunction with regime’s heavy machine-gun targeting of places in the town, while the Russian warplanes carried out several raids after midnight of yesterday on places in the towns of al-Hbit and Qassabiyyeh in the southern countryside of Idlib, also places in both towns have been under intensive ground shelling with tens of rocket and artillery shells since midnight of yesterday until the moment, in the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces withdrew during the last few hours from al-Sharia, Tal Hawash, and Sheikh Idris, also the village of Bab al-Taqa is witnessing exchange of control between the regime forces and factions, due to the exchange of firearm control of the village, while the regime forces still control Qal’aat al-Madiq, al-Karakat, al-Twyna, Kafr Nabudah, al-Bana and Tal Osman in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama.

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a large-scale looting operation by the regime forces, supported by their loyal gunmen within the areas they controlled over the past few days, where as soon as the regime forces control an area; the first thing of their priorities becomes the looting process, where they stole the property of citizens who have been displaced from their areas by the military operations in Sahl al-Ghab, Jabal Shashabo, and north of Hama, and neither houses nor shops were spared in this looting, as they broke the shops and stole all their contents as well as the contents of the houses, like furniture, electronics, and other things, where locusts of the “Homeland Army” appeared in videos while they were practicing the hobby of looting in Qal’aat al-Madiq and other areas they controlled within Hama countryside, as a part of the continuation of taking civilian property as a tax for “liberating” their areas, which -once again- reignites popular discontent due to the continued violations by the “Homeland Army” of its practices without any deterrent.

And between the 30th of April 2019 and today, Tuesday the 9th of May, the Syrian observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 96 civilians including 13 children and 26 citizen women, where 29 of them including 5 female children and 8 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 21 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 29 including 6 women, 5 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 16 people including 4 women were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and a civilian was killed in shelling by the factions of al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 72 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 58 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
