More than 40 were killed and injured today, Monday, in aerial and ground bombardment accompanied by clashes and targeting between the regime forces and the jihadi groups in Jabal al-Akrad
Russian warplanes carried out this morning at least 3 raids targeting Midan Ghazal village in Jabal Shashabo in Hama countryside, near Shir Mghar village where there is a Turkish observation post, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the flight of more than 4 helicopters in the sky of the mountains of the coast and Hama countryside, in conjunction with dropping barrel bombs on Kabana area in Jabal al-Akrad and on other places in the villages of Horta and al-Sahriyya in Jabal Shashabo, amid targeting by the regime forces with more than 280 shells and missiles for kabana area and other areas in Jabal al-Akrad since morning, while violent clashes took place after midnight of yesterday in areas of Khalsa and Khan Tuman in the southern countryside of Aleppo, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the jihadi groups and factions operate in the area, in an attempt by the first mentioned to advance in the area, where the clash were accompanied by shelling and targeting amid information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, while the regime forces shelled after midnight of yesterday places in al-Lataminah and Morek in the northern countryside of Hama, al-Zammar, Qarasi, al-Humira, Khalsa, and Khan Tuman south of Aleppo, also areas in al-Hbit town in the southern countryside of Idlib has been under rocket shelling since after midnight until now, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented heavy casualties in the ranks of the Jihadis and the regime forces during the intense aerial and ground shelling, in addition to the clashes and targeting in Jabal al-Akrad in Latakia countryside, where more than 11 of the Jihadis were killed on Monday and at least 16 others were injured, also 6 members of the regime forces were killed and 8 were injured, while the shelling and violent clashes yesterday left also casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties.
And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 326, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 118 civilians including 21 children and 30 citizen women, and they are 33 including 7 female children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 22 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 33 including 7 women, 5 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 23 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 7 citizens including 5 children and a woman were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 112 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 96 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 21st day, to 479 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 12th of May 2019, they are 168 civilians including 34 children and 40 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 11 civilians casualties including 5 children and a citizen woman were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 130 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 162 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.
And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 13th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 855 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 406 civilians including 104 children under the age of eighteen and 98 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 35 people including 11 children under the age of eighteen and 6 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 198 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 129 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 251 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1085 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 487 civilians including 136 children and 110 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 38 people including 11 children and 6 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 265 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 144 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 333 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
