More than 20 were killed in the military operations in Mountains of the coast and the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 480 air and ground strikes target “Putin – Erdogan” area on the 15th day of the heaviest escalation
The most violent escalation within the “de- escalation” area continues on its 15th consecutive day, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the fall of at least 96 barrel bombs dropped by regime’s helicopters since this morning on areas in Hama and Idlib countryside as well as the Mountains of the coast, and they are: 35 on Kabana area in Jabal al-Akrad, 22 on al-Hbit town south of Idlib, 15 on al-Hwaiz and al-Hawijah, 8 on Hish, 4 on Tremla, 4 on Baraboo, and 2 barrel bombs on each of al-Faqea, Rakaya, Abdeen, and Shahranaz, while warplanes of the Russian “guarantor” carried out more than 10 air raids, they are 6 on Tremla, 2 on Om Nir and 2 on Jern village, also it rose to 45, the number of airstrikes carried out by regime’s warplanes since after midnight of yesterday until now, they are 14 on Kabana in Jabal al-Akrad, 11 on al-Hbit and its outskirts and surroundings, 10 raids on al-Hwaiz and Hawijah, 5 on Khan Shaykhun and its outskirts, 3 on Tremla, and 2 raids on the outskirts Kafrsajna.
In the same context, it rose to about 330, the number of shells and missiles launched by the regime forces since after midnight of yesterday until now, which targeted places in al-Hbit and Kabana area and other areas in Sahl al-Ghab and Jabal Shashabo, while the clashes continue at a violent pace between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions against the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them, on areas in Sahl al-Ghab and Jabal Shashabo in Hama countryside, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to advance and control the villages of al-Hamra and al-Muhajreen, raising to 15, the number of areas the regime forces have been able to control in Sahl al-Ghab and Jabal Shashabo during the last few days, they are: Qal’aat al-Madiq, Karakat, al-Twyna, Kafr Nabudah, al-Bana, Tal Osman, al-Mestriha, al-Sharia, Bab al-Taqa, Jabriya, Tal Hawash, al-Tawba, Sheikh Idris, al-Muhajreen, and al-Hamra, while clashes -which were accompanied by aerial and ground shelling since morning- left casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties, where at least 10 of the jihadi groups and factions were killed, and 7 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were also killed, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of a civilian in bombardment by regime’s warplanes on Hish village south of Idlib.
And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 367, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since the start of Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 125 civilians including 22 children and 30 citizen women, and they are 33 including 7 female children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 24 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 35 including 7 women, 5 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 25 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 8 citizens including 6 children and a woman were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 143 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 117 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 24th day, to 538 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 14th of May 2019, they are 175 civilians including 35 children and 40 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 12 civilians casualties including 6 children and a citizen woman were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 161 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 183 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.
And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 14th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 914 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 413 civilians including 105 children under the age of eighteen and 98 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 36 people including 12 children under the age of eighteen and 6 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 229 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 143 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 272 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1144 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 494 civilians including 137 children and 110 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 39 people including 12 children and 6 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 296 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 158 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 354 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
