The heaviest escalation begins its 16th day with the death of 16 people, and kabana area witnesses ground and aerial escalation for the 4th consecutive day
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 9 civilians on the 16th day of the most violent escalation in the “de- escalation” area, where 3 people were killed in rocket shelling by the regime forces on Kafr Dael village in the western sector of Aleppo countryside after midnight, a woman and a man were killed in rocket shelling by the factions on al-Jamiliyyeh neighbourhood and its vicinity in Aleppo city, which is controlled by the regime forces, 4 including women and children died affected by wound they had in shelling by the factions on Neirab camp southeast of Aleppo city on Tuesday, rising to 10 including 3 children and 2 women, the number of people killed in the massacre of Neirab camp.
While Kabani area in Jabal al-Akrad is witnessing intense ground and aerial bombardment and shelling by hundreds of strikes for the 4th consecutive day since the start of the escalation on Sunday , where regime’s helicopter dropped barrel bombs after midnight and this morning targeting Kabani area, amid rocket shelling by the regime forces since after midnight until now on the same area, in conjunction with new attacks by the regime forces in an attempt to advance in the area, and the Syrian Observatory documented the killing of 4 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the clashes; and 3 of the jihadi groups were killed during the shelling and the clashes in Kabani area, also areas in Ma’aret Hurmah town were shelled by regime’s warplanes this morning, while the helicopters dropped barrel bombs this morning on al-Hbit town south of Idlib, also the warplanes targeted using missiles and heavy machineguns places in Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib and outskirts of Saraqib town east of Idlib after midnight of yesterday, while the contact areas in Sahl al-Ghab and Jabal Shashabo in Hama countryside are witnessing exchange of shelling between the factions operating in the area and between the regime forces, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the fall of tens of rocket shells launched by the factions since after midnight until the first hours of the morning, on areas in the neighborhoods of the al-Seryan al-Jadidah, Jamiliyyeh, Teshreen Street, Masaken al-Sabil, al-Zahraa, Nile Street, and the vicinity of al-Mogambo area in the western section of Aleppo city which are controlled by the regime forces, also the regime forces intensively shelled after midnight areas on the northern, western, and northwestern outskirts of Aleppo city.
And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 414, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 147 civilians including 25 children and 32 citizen women, and they are 33 including 7 female children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 24 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 42 including 7 women, 6 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 28 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 14 citizens including 6 children and a woman were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 146 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 121 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 24th day, to 567 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 15th of May 2019, they are 197 civilians including 39 children and 43 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 24 civilians casualties including 9 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 164 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 187 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.
And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 15th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 943 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 435 civilians including 109 children under the age of eighteen and 101 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 48 people including 15 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 232 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 146 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 276 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1173 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 516 civilians including 141 children and 113 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 51 people including 15 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 299 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 161 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 358 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
