540 air and ground strikes during the 16th day of the heaviest escalation ever, and about 40 were killed today during the intense shelling and violent battles

Regime’s warplanes targeted by heavy machine guns the southern and northern outskirts of Maarrat al-Nu’man city, where it rose to 96 the number of barrel bombs dropped by helicopter since Wednesday morning on the “de-escalation” area, they are 49 on Kabani area in Jabal al-Akrad, 7 on al-Hbit south of Idlib, 13 on al-Hwaiz in Sahl al-Ghab, 5 on each of Om Nir, Qara Jern, al-Hwyja, Midan Ghazal, and Om al-Sir, also it rose to 50, the number of raids carried out by regime’s warplanes since midnight of yesterday until no, they are 25 on Kabani area, 7 on Khan Shaykhun and its outskirts, 10 on al-Hwaiz in Sahl al-Ghab, 3 on IKARDA area, 2 on Kafrsajna, 2 on each of Kafrsajna, the outskirts of Saraqib, and Sfuhen.

While it rose to about 390, the number of shells launched by the regime forces since midnight of yesterday until the moment on several places in Sahl al-Ghab, Jabal Shashabo, Kabani area in Jabal al-Akrad, and other places in the countryside of Aleppo, Hama, and Idlib, also warplanes of the Russian “guarantor” carried out 4 raids on Wednesday, they are 2 raids on the outskirts Hish and 2 on the outskirts of Tremla village.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today that The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored continued violent clashes between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, the Turkestani party and the factions, in areas at Jabal Shashabo and Sahl al-Ghab, after the continuous attacks by the regime forces with the support of intense aerial and ground shelling with tens of ground and air strikes, in an attempt to take control of more areas, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the regime forces managed to advance from their positions in al-Hamra and al-Muhajreen, and controlled al-Hwaiz village in Sahl al-Ghab, while the jihadi factions and groups to get it back, where it rose to 16, the number of areas they have managed to control in Sahl al-Ghab and Jabal Shashabo over the past few days, they are Qal’aat al-Madiq, Karakat, Twyna, Kafr Nabudah, al-Bana, Tal Osman, al-Mestriha, al-Sharia, Bab al-Taqa, al-Jabriya, Tal Hawash, al-Tawba, Sheikh Idris, al-Muhajreen, al-Hamra, and al-Hwaiz, and the violent clashes in Jabal Shashabo and Sahl al-Ghab -which were accompanied by extensive aerial and ground shelling-, killed at least 12 of the jihadi groups and factions including 5 of the Turkestanies, and at least 9 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 436, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 148 civilians including 25 children and 32 citizen women, and they are 33 including 7 female children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 24 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 42 including 7 women, 6 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 28 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 14 citizens including 6 children and a woman were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 158 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 130 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 26th day, to 589 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 15th of May 2019, they are 198 civilians including 39 children and 43 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 24 civilians casualties including 9 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 176 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 196 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 15th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 965 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 436 civilians including 109 children under the age of eighteen and 101 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 48 people including 15 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 244 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 153 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 285 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1195 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 517 civilians including 141 children and 113 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 51 people including 15 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 311 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 168 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 367 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
